Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast

Great location just a block from the boardwalk traffic and noise. Not your typical bnb experience, as much is self serve without much interaction with the staff. Ok breakfasts— nice eating area inside or front porch. Cleanliness is a 3— carpets dirty in certain areas, paint chipped on edges/corners, hair on bathroom floor.

Read good reviews saying it was clean and cozy place so we booked it. This place was anything but clean and cozy. Dirty room, stained carpeting everywhere, musty and moldy smell throughout the entire place. Thick covering of dust and mildew and mold in ac unit for our room. Beat up looking door that you had to shove to open and it would always slam shut. Room was stated to have a private hall, but it did not. Bathroom was mildewy with no hot or even lukewarm water for the shower. Had to take a freezing shower. Bath towels were stained, very thin and very small. No hand towel was provided. Outlet in room didn’t work either. Sink in bathroom didn’t properly drain and would stay clogged. No one around to help us with our concerns. Breakfast a disappoint with fruit in a bowl that was brown and sat out all day. Ash trays outside never cleaned out and stayed full all day. Cleanliness for the place was nonexistent. We are not fussy people, but cleanliness is a must. Mildewy odor throughout entire building was pungent. Be careful reading other reviews. Place is very dirty and not up to shape at all. Very dissatisfied.

We had a terrific stay! Super friendly and hospitable owners. The room was all we needed; even had a mini fridge with a freezer. Breakfasts were delicious. Front porch a nice place to sit and enjoy the view or visit with other guests. Centrally located so we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.

The Bed and Breakfast has a Shabby Chic décor. Staff were very friendly from check in to check out, clean place and convenient location to the beach. I gave them Extra points for finding the Ipad that was left behind.
