Hotels in der Nähe von Connel Ferry, Oban

Unsere Gastgeberin und Gastgeberin bieten uns eine wunderschöne schottische Gastfreundschaft mit ihrer freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Art. Wir haben nach einer langen Szenenfahrt von Fort William in unserem sauberen Zimmer und komfortablen Bett geruht. Es hat einfache Parkplätze und eine bequeme Lage. Wir gingen zum View in Oban für eine Ceilidh Nacht (Schottische Musik und Volkstanz). Es war ein toller Abend für meine Großmutter und mich. Ein ausgezeichnetes, leckeres, gesundes Frühstück wurde serviert und in den Preis enthalten, der sehr vernünftig war. Ich würde sicher noch einmal hier bleiben.

Die Lage ist großartig, das Zimmer ist nicht groß, der Service ist gut

From the moment we arrived on a wet and windy afternoon we were transported to total relaxation & amazing hospitality. We arrived hungry so had tea & sandwiches in the lounge beside a roaring log fire. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious (we chose prawn & blt). After dragging ourselves away from the log fire, we went upstairs to our bedroom which was lovely. Very nicely decorated with all the amenities you would expect. Penhaligon toiletries were a luxury treat. Dinner & Breakfast were tasty & sitting in the conservatory for a pre dinner drink was cosy (lovely wool blankets in a basket if you want a bit of extra heat) but the stars of the weekend for us were definitely the staff. They were exceptional. Very professional & efficient while still maintaining a friendliness. We were given a map of the island by staff & had a great walk looking for eagles, deer etc. (Wellingtons available at reception) We walked to otter point & were lucky enough to see otters playing in the water. Other wildlife stayed hidden. We had been to Isle of Eriska a few years ago & although lovely, we felt it looked a bit tired and in need of some decorating. It now looks superb. The new owners have clearly invested lots of money refurbishing the hotel and it definitely shows. Not at all surprised celebrities escape to this lovely hotel/island. Thank You Isle of Eriska for a lovely weekend. We will be back.

Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Loch Melfort und gleich neben den Arduaine Gardens. Diese Parkanlage war zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes aber dauerhaft geschlossen. Wir hatten ein sehr kleines Zimmer im Haupthaus ohne besonderen Ausblick. Es gibt auch Zimmer im neuen Anbau mit Blick auf die Bucht, die möglicherweise geräumiger sind. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Obwohl die Küche um 21:00 schließt und wir erst kurz vorher zum Einchecken angekommen waren, konnten wir noch eine Bestellung aufgeben und anschließend im Restaurant zu Abend essen.
