Uitstekend hotel met bijzonder vriendelijke mensen tot aan de chef toe. Dikke plus voor de hulpvaardigheid en meedenken toen één van onze vrienden een ongelukje had gehad. Komen zeker terug. Kleine opmerkingen: als je meerdere dagen blijft mag de menukaart voor het arrangement wat ons betreft iets uitgebreider. We komen zeker een keer terug!

The room (#122) was a nice style, clean and the bed was comfortable.....but. Unfortunately the shampoo was empty upon arrival and when we reported this to reception, this was quckly replaced, however housekeeping also removed (and did not replace) most of our towels. Not sure why? Whoever painted the walls, did not do a good job (see picture) and the wood next to the sink, while looks nice, is not the best choice of material as this easily stains (see picture). We had dinner 2 nights in the hotel restaurant, however on BOTH nights, our order was messed up. I would really recommend the staff to write the order down to prevent this. The wine (by the glass) was also not to our liking. I understand this is subjective, but i tried 2 different red wines (grape varieties which i would usually take) and both were not pleasant (cheap wine). My wife had the same experience with her 1 glass of white wine. So 3 different wines in total, and all were not good. When we arrived in the room, there were various different coffee pods, however when these were replenished the next day, they were all the same (Unfortunately not with the ones we liked, from the day before). The plates/cups from the room next door (where breakfast is served), were stored on trays and the trolley is then wheeled through the main restaurant, to the kitchen. I wouldn't mind if this was just once but this happened multiple times, while we we trying to enjoy our dinner, and is very distracting wth the rattling noise. I would expect this in a canteen, but not in a 4* hotel. The standard of our room / facilties was nice, and probably justified of the 4* rating but unfortunately all the items mentioned above made us give it only an average review.

Wir waren über Silvester zu zweit, als junges Paar, für einen Kurzurlaub im Hotel De Roode Schuur. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Positives: - Getränkegutschein für das Restaurant nebenan, weil wir vor der, von uns angegebenen, CheckIn-Uhrzeit bereits vor Ort waren und das Zimmer noch nicht bereit war - Generell sehr freundliches Personal - Zusätzliches Hygiene-Paket (Toilettenpapier, Handtücher, Zahnputzbecher, Tee und Kaffee), mehr als von uns erbeten - Zimmer-Upgrade, weil unser Aufenthalt etwas länger als „normal“ war - Traditionelles „Holzschuhe vor die Tür stellen“, statt ein Bitte-nicht-stören-Schild - Gute Einrichtung der Zimmer, modern und sauber Negatives: - Hinzugebuchte Rosenblätter waren leider unecht und wenn man hierbei den Umweltaspekt beachtet und dafür 7,50€ bezahlt, sollte man online darauf hingewiesen werden, dass es sich nicht um echte Rosenblätter handelt - Handseife war leider nur ein Stück Kernseife ohne Halterung und wir mussten eine Ablage improvisieren. Vorschlag: Flüssigseife oder Kernseife MIT Halterung - Die Dusche war leider komplett offen, sodass das Wasser nicht nur in der Duschkabine blieb, sondern auf und unter die Toilette spritzte bzw. lief Uns hat unser Aufenthalt, trotz der negativen Punkte, gut gefallen und wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und behalten es gut in Erinnerung.

Das Hotel gehört zu den besseren van der valk hotels. Gut ausgestattet, modern und sauber. Die erste Nacht war alles perfekt und in der zweiten Nacht setzten um 3.00 Uhr Reperaturarbeiten an, die sehr laut waren. Es war als ob nebenan mit einer Bohrmaschine gearbeitet wurde. Somit war die Nachtruhe gestört und schlafen war nicht mehr möglich. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Wellnessanlage. An der Rezeption konnte man sich für 8,00 einen Bademantel leihen, der leider das Geld nicht wert war. Er war alt und defekt und viel zu klein. Schade, da es eigentlich ein sehr schönes Hotel ist. Het hotel is een van de betere van der valk hotels. Goed uitgerust, modern en schoon. De eerste nacht was alles perfect en op de t****e nacht begonnen de reparaties om 03:00 uur, die erg luid waren. Het was alsof ik met een boormachine naast de deur werkte. De nachtrust werd dus verstoord en slapen ging niet meer. Het hotel heeft een zeer mooie wellnessruimte. Bij de receptie kon je voor 8,00 een badjas lenen, die was het geld helaas niet waard. Het was oud en kapot en veel te klein. Het is jammer, want het is eigenlijk een heel mooi hotel.

We stayed here last week. The staff is really friendly, it was no bother for a late check-in, as we arrived just before 10pm. The rooms are spaces, clean and the beds are so comfy to sleep it. There is a nice bar as well, with a good choice of beers available. The breakfast is fantastic, with such a variety of what you can eat. I would recommend anyone to stay there.

Hotel got a refurb this year, and looks nice on paper. Staff very service minded, BUT that is also to cater for a few shortcomings. * Pool/sauna great, but they lack pool towels. Asking reception or housekeeping for an extra one on the room is just cumbersome. * Restaurant 'Baron' has nice HB dinners, a la carte also looks fine. But nothing like an amuse or bread with oil with the drinks, then the wait for the meal courses is long. Great staff, they found a replacement dessert for us as the standard offer was not our taste. Spacious rooms, often with shared balcony. Great buffet breakfast. Good free walking and biking routes.
