Such an amazing hotel. We stayed in the Shepard hut and it was delightful. Very well equipped and very cosy. Food in the restaurant was amazing. Good choice of local produce. Food was lively and fresh and hot. Staff very friendly and helpful. High recommend

Staff were brilliant, the food was good and the room was comfortable and well provided - the daily truffles were a nice touch which went well with the in-room nespresso coffee.

We booked the best room we could get, and the hotel and staff tried hard. Some top furnishings in room, but beds old. Plenty staff around, but not well organised. Breakfast was ok - not standout. Dinner over priced.

We returned to the pheasant for a 3rd time,as we were married here 2 years ago.The hotel is as lovely as our wedding day.It has a calm yet welcoming feel,with friendly and attentive staff.The food was even better if that's possible from the last time we stayed,a very delicious experience.Slept like a log in an extremely comfortable bed,with the only sound we could here being the wind in the trees.

Very friendly and helpful staff, pleasant room, comfortable and clean, excellent food. A great location. We preferred eating in the orangery, bright and airy. Very happy with our choice of hotel for our weekend break. We would certainly recommend.

Very pleasant 4 day break with friends. The customer service team were very good but the impression was that they were short of staff. Reasonable value for money. We only ate one night in the restaurant and the food was ok, however our last mornings cooked breakfast left something to be desired.

Lovely large bedroom & bathroom. Reception staff helpful. Let down by the long wait in restaurant (1 hour for a drink) and cold food when finally arrived that had to be reheated in microwave.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, the food was delicious, the room was first class, the staff were friendly and helpful, a in all a wonderful place to stay and dine.

Hotel was nice but a little tired. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They happily changed the armchair in our room to cater for my disability. Problem is there were not enough of them. Service in the restaurant was very slow making us wonder if the allocated two hour slot was adequate. I am not a food critic. Suffice to say that my wife enjoyed her meal and mine was OK but the Thai style fishcakes were dry and tasteless. The location is quite remote and, for us, it took some finding due to the preference of our sat nav for narrow Norfolk country lanes! There is plenty of car parking available on site.
