Lovely stay with amazing staff who couldn’t make us feel more welcome if they tried. Pillows were poor but room was spotless and quiet. Massive bed and bathroom with free parking. Shame they don’t do breakfast but the Blue bell inn does an excellent one a short walk away. Will definitely return as we go to emsworth a lot and it’s easier than getting the train.

Stopped in for an evening meal (date night!) at the Crown in Emsworth. What a great night! The food was excellent, the staff were really friendly - a particular shout out to Caitlyn who went out of her way to look after us and make us feel welcome. We'll definitely be back!

Myself and my friend visited this traditional pub on the high street of lovely Emsworth . It has an outside area too for seating . The food was of great quality with large portions and the choice was good , it is traditional English pub food . I had Mac cheese and my friend had a halloumi and pesto burger with sweet potato . We squeezed in dessert which wasn’t easy !! I had apple crumble and my friend had cheesecake , from a variety of desserts . Loved the food would recommend it and well priced too .

An average town pub with cafe style tables, a private room for dining, a public dining room in the rear and a patio garden for dining. A very friendly and approachable staff. Generous portions. A large selection of menus, a well stocked bar and beers. A car park in the rear.

A warm welcome by George. The Crown is friendly place both the locals and staff. Karen is first class. The food most enjoyable. Service is professional. The recent refurbishment has enhanced the establishment. My only gripe no breakfast service. Short of Chefs but planing to begin in July.

4 of us visited the Crown for our get together at lunchtime. The staff from the outset were so friendly, welcoming & fun, Ev & Karen looked after us. The food was delicious 😋. We were inside but ventured outside to sit in the courtyard garden, we were reminded to order desert if needed, Karen popped our chocolate in the fridge 😊🐣 Great afternoon which all of us thoroughly enjoyed. All staff very nice 😊

Visited for lunch time drinks with a group of friends. The pub has a great atmosphere and a good range of real ale. Whilst we did not eat, what we saw looked to be good. The staff were attentive and I will return.

One of the most bizarre and mixed experience of a pub meal we've ever had !!...The Crown was chaotic, confused and a bit manic when we visited after receiving a few recommendations to try Sunday lunch here...Be aware that if you book Sunday lunch between 3-5pm,there will be a live music act on obviously appealing to the drinking fraternity who were very lively and inebriated in the bar area. Our booked table was right next to the act and we asked to be moved to a quieter area...This was not clarified or checked with us when we made the booking on Sat who said they had plenty of room for our 4pm booking ?...However we were moved into a quieter room by the manager Adrian which we appreciated who said we would be seen to very soon...Three male waiters walked past us without any acknowledgement at all which was very poor and it was only when Adrian checked about 10 mins late if we'd had our order taken and he apologised profusely for the poor service. We ordered 2 x beef to then be told it had all gone and so opted for Lamb Roasts...Food was very nice, with an enormous and Gorgeous Banoffee Pie desert which we shared. Adrian and Evie were very apologetic and gave us 50% off the bill which was acceptable and handled our complaints very well. The younger male servers were well out of their depth and need some urgent training on customer service/waiter skills. Unlikely to visit again but if we did, we would choose to come at a calmer more relaxed time. Not sure what the place is trying to be ?? An eatery or an entertainment venue or both ? if both, then the overlap and planning needs a lot of work.
