Needed a room and laundry facility between LA and Morro Bay. Room was ample and comfortable. Guest laundry was clean and quiet and the front desk had quarters. Was a little surprised that the hotel didn't offer breakfast, but there is a sports bar within an easy walk. Was shocked -- after checkout -- to learn that we'd been charged $10 for "daily parking." There didn't seem to be a lack of parking spaces, BUT oddly there were some cars in the lot that looked like they'd been there for a long time. Some were dusty, others had flat tires. Very weird.

Major shout out to Olivia at front desk and Eric! Also the bartender! These folks are busting their behinds trying to do multiple things at once. For this to be a Marriott, not being properly staffed is beyond disappointing. The past 2 weekends we brought our 6,8,9, and 10U baseball teams to come stay at this property just to find out on numerous occasions that their aren’t any towels at the pool, nobody at the bar (Bartender may be off breaking down boxes, ect). My wife saw the front desk agent take care of the incoming guests and then scoot over to the bar to then help out guests with beverages! Those people need and deserve a raise #1. Add more help and this place will be worth coming back to a 3rd time. Management needs to do better. This isn’t a Motel 6.

Close to restaurants, gym 360 victory gym, excellent service This place had clean rooms and excellent service even when we landed near midnight. The showers had a lot of force and they went the extra mile to give us rooms next to each other. The breakfast was great and both Jazmin and Mason helped our family with seniors who had food restrictions. The service was simply superb especially since we experienced the opposite in Marriott at Anaheim in harbor The beds were comfy and there was ample parking. There is an in n out right next to it and few restaurants including this sit down thai place. It has orange theory near by and the gymnastics camp is 5 minutes away. There is a camarilla outlet mall about 15 mins away and it was fun to explore. Food included tater tots, eggs any style, fritats, pan cake, french toast, avocado toast, breakfast burritos, sandwiches and all the usual Starbucks food as well. It was all great.

Appears to be relatively newly constructed hotel. Room and common areas were spotless. Front desk staff were pleasant & helpful making check in a breeze. On-site parking is free which is a rare find in SoCal. Plenty of areas to hang out (both indoors & outdoors) in the common areas including some fire pits. Easy freeway access. Gym was large with plenty of options including free weights, weight machines, treadmills and elliptical. Full disclosure - I stayed here with points but prices seemed reasonable for SoCal. Would certainly recommend this property to solo, business or families traveling together.

I am not sure why this has so many 4-5 star reviews. I stayed there on business for two nights in October. This hotel was just okay. Not sure if it's because I normally stay at Marriott hotels and this one paled in comparison to the others. Parking is $10 a night although it really shares a parking lot with a ***** mall. Even if you don't park on the site, you will still get charged so watch out for that. Breakfast is $10 also I believe. No evening reception. There is a bar that looks pretty nice although only a few people took advantage of that. Maybe it was because I was staying mid-week. The pool also looked nice but being cooler, I did not take advantage of that. 1) The front desk clerk, although seemingly nice, was kind of curt when he spoke; 2) The room seemed a bit dated and the hallway and room smelled a little like bleach. It was weird, 3) Couldn't figure out the TV. 4) Toilet continued to run even though we are in a drought, 5) The shower - on my goodness. I think it's part of the water-saving efforts but the showerhead was one that the holes were limited to a 1-inch diameter spray. When the water came out, it actually hurt, lol. Do not let the water hit your bits. It will be painful. I had to stand to the side of the water spray in order to avoid this. It was a good price to stay though and centrally located to where I needed to be. Lots or restaurants close by - Italian, American, Japanese, etc. The front desk clerk was responsive though when my keycard was not working. He ran right up and gave me new ones. I was surprised at how fast this happened. Overall, it was an okay stay. Not my best Marriott stay but not horrible either.

I stayed here for a week while on a work trip. Pros: good location (shops & restaurants close by), the staff were all very helpful, breakfast was very good, hot, fast and tasty. Room was spacious and clean. Cons: no housekeeping at all (though clean towels are available on request), the communal areas smelled a little unclean, pool is depressing looking & not very inviting. For a work trip it was appropriate but i would of been disappointed if I had booked it as a holiday.

My wife and I stayed at this location on 5/22 and 5/23 and had some issues with noise from tour buses parked adjacent to our room and a few other concerns. We brought these up to the front desk and also contacted Marriott who initially responded but for some reason my return responses fell upon server problems, hence I also wrote the corporate office. Unfortunately some time had passed with no response so I posted a review on Trip Advisor, Google and Yelp indicating concern. Coincidentally, I recieved a call today from Marriott Courtyard Thousand Oaks Management,, Skylar Gustavson, who was not only a good listener but was committed to my satisfaction as a loyal Marriott patron. We spoke about our previous stay and the protocols that are now in place to prevent this type of loitering and noise after 10 pm as well as some of the procedural modifications relative to kitchen trash removal and storage. The conversation was very pleasant and he vowed to make it right and was committed to a suitable resolution which we both agreed upon. Unfortunately Mr. Gustavson's Marriott email address was not taking correspondence due to a server glitch which explained the lack of response relative to his initial contact. I am thankful for the grace extended by his listening and acknowledging fault with a committment to excellence which is truly what Marriott has always offered. I accepted the resolution and agreed to try this location in the future as with employees such as Mr. Gustavson working for the Marriott, we know that we are in good hands. Thank you Marriott and Mr. Gustavson for making this right and extending the graceful resolution that will keep us coming back.

An a dedicated Marriott hotel chain family we were truly taken back by a very bad stay experience on 5/22 to 5/23. I attempted to contact the hotel and the corporate office yet recieved a form letter type apology with no true correspondence back from Marriott to resolve such an issue. A Mr. Gustavson wrote apologizing for the trash in front of the hotel the urine looking substance in the elevator and the multiple tour buses parked outside of our room which were noisy throughout the entire night and early morning hours making it impossible to sleep. Mr. Gustavson also gave me an email that was incorrect. As I stated the noise in the rear parking lot all night long was very disruptive relative to getting any sleep in room #205, which was adjacent to where the buses and people were talking etc. all night long. I just had shoulder surgery and we were up in thousand oaks to visit the gravesites where my wife's parents are buried. We have never experienced such a disturbance and disruptive environment while staying at one of Marriott's hotels. We also reported the overflowing maintenance trash cart in front of the hotel with trash sprawled all over the sidewalk etc. as I noted it was just left of the front doors as I pulled into the parking stall by the handicapped space. The trash cart was a large gray wheeled unit used most likely by maintenance to clean rooms etc. We also reported a liquid mess in the elevator which we noted looked like urine. The entire experience was less than expected from the Marriott chain and without a phone call in return or reimbursement of the 20000 Bonvouy Points I spent on this nightmare stay. We were certainly not informed of the big tour buses and activity in the parking area adjacent to our room which should have been disclosed and surely we would have declined and asked for another room. The caution tape in the parking lot does indicate this was a predetermined plan and we were the victims of a poorly selected room. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location and are truly disappointed that Marriott chose to ignore my letter to corporate and correspondence to the hotel. I would not recommend this location.

Very happy with this hotel. We had a 2 king room (who even knew this was a thing?), which was great with my two kids. We loved the heated outdoor pool and hot tub - awesome. That was the best part. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Only downside is that our tub drained slowly.

We stayed overnight on our way to LAX for an early flight.Good hotel , quiet , spacious clean room and a good bed. Parking and breakfast charged extra. A nice feature is the bar that’s open until 10 PM and besides a full bar also offers some snack and dinner choices. Bartended / cook Eric was great. Will return in the future

I had stayed here for one night when I got home and realized that I forgot my makeup pouch in the room. Unfortunately it took them a day to found a pouch, there were 10 items in the pouch and they were mostly brand new but it was returned to me only 5 old items and also I had to pay for shipping. I felt those returned items could have been contaminated and I don't feel safe to use them. I talked to the PM manager and he wont do anything to compromised the lost of my personal belonging. He clearly said that hotel will not responsible what left behind the room. However, why there were returned half of them so where were the rest go?? Good thing they were not anything valuable, memorable items. Sadly, I will not returned to this hotel and Marriott as a whole due to very bad customer service and unprofessional.
