My stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown/French Quarter Area was wonderful. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are the perfect mixture of old and new. The only issues I had were one elevator went out and the extended wait for valet even though we called ahead. But even with those mishaps, I definitely plan to stay again. There was one gentleman at the front desk, I don't remember his name, but we called ahead for valet and when we arrived downstairs 20 minutes later we were informed valet had not even been called. This could've made us late for our swamp tour but thankfully we had chosen to leave early and had the time to spare. I had never heard of a king/king room prior to my stay at the Fairfield but I was pleased with the option. The decor was modern with the lighted mirrors and spacious bathrooms but the exposed wood beams and murals of the old street cars brought in an antique flair that makes this design very New Orleans.

Our daughter goes to college in New Orleans, so that always gives us a good excuse to visit one of the most fun places on earth. After four visits, the Olivier House is also our favorite hotel on earth. It is so unique and is as ”Old New Orleans” as can be. We have stayed in four different rooms and loved every one of them. My wife is a light sleeper and so we do always ask for an interior room as the French Quarter can be pretty loud on the weekends. However the rooms are so quite, which is pretty surprising since Bourbon St. is only half a block away. Once you walk in the front door it is like another world away from the bustle outside. During the day or night, the courtyards are so peaceful to spend time in. Match that with a great staff, clean rooms, nice beds and linens and it is everything you could ask for, unless you belong in a chain hotel. I am almost sorry to tell others about our secret gem, but it is just the best. Highly recommend.

This gem is off the beaten path; only a 10min trolley ride from Canal Street. I felt safe arriving on the trolley at 3/4am. It's peaceful, clean, and affordable. Great stay for friends/families of four. Dorms are accessible by key card. The female room for four has its own bathroom. Free WiFi and breakfast. The staff are so hospitalitable. I recommend saving $$ and staying at The Quisby.

I stayed at this hotel about 2 weeks ago just as COVID-19 restrictions were beginning to ease. I was still quite worried about cleanliness and social distancing. Fortunately, my concerns were quickly put to rest upon arriving at this hotel. The whole hotel seems to have been freshly renovated. It even has the faint smell of fresh paint & cleanser. The hotel is modest and tidy. My room seemed as if I were perhaps the first person to stay in it post-renovation. I was relived and relaxed in my room. I opted to take an Uber to the French Quarter two miles down the road. It cost me exactly $8 although there is apparently a bus right next to the hotel that would have taken me for $1.25. It's a cheap, clean, freshly renovated, no thrills sorta place which was perfect for me. I didn't spend an abundance of time in my room because I was too busy exploring the fabulous city

Es dauerte mir eine Weile, um zu entscheiden, ob ich eine Bewertung für dieses Hotel überlassen möchte oder nicht, aber ich fühle mich wirklich, potenzielle Kunden sollten wissen. Unsere Termine waren Donnerstag 6/28/22-Monday 7/4/22. Ich werde die positiven Erfahrungen zuerst bemerken. Einchecken war anstrengend. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und war sehr schmackvoll. Lage war in Fußabstand vom Superdome. Jetzt die Kons. Offensichtlich ist die Hausaufbewahrung nicht verfügbar, wenn Sie nicht auf eine Liste setzen möchten. Ich verstehe das, aber ich habe jeden Tag aufgerufen, auf diese Liste zu setzen, aber unser Zimmer wurde nicht serviert. Ich wurde mir tatsächlich gesagt, sie könnten Handtücher und frische Blätter heruntersenden, um unsere eigenen Betten zu ändern( Und das ist genau das, was sie am Samstag getan haben) Wir wollten sauber bleiben, aber bis Sonntag waren die Blätter, Handtücher und Gepäck aufzuholen. Ich ging zum Front Desk um 2:30pm Sonntag 7/3/22 und fragte den Front Desk-Beamt um meine wiederholten Anfragen. Ich war angenehmen und habe sogar eine Stimme verwendet. Diese junge Dame weigerte sich, mich zu erkennen und mich nicht mit Augen zu kontaktieren. Als Faktenfalle, und ein älterer Mitarbeiterin passierte gerade dahin und sie weist auf sie hin! Ich war flabbergasted! Ich wandte mich an den anderen Mitarbeiter und erläuterte mein Dilemma und sie sagte, sie würde sich um ihn kümmern. Sie war sehr nett. Ich wandte mich an den Vorderbüro-Beamten und fragte, ob sie ”Ok?” sie schnap mich. ”Ich bin ok. Sind Sie ok?” Ich wurde wieder zurückgenommen. Um 315 Uhr gab es einen Knock an der Tür, ich öffnete es, um einen jüngeren Hausmeister mit ihrer Hand auf ihr zu finden. Cart und das andere auf ihrem Hals. Sie sagte mir nicht ein Wort und schüttete vor mir. Ich fragte sie, ob sie uns aussteigen müsste und sie mummte etwas unter ihrem Atem. Ich war so unbehaglich mit diesen Personalmitgliedern Einstellungen. Ich habe nie mit Die schlimmste Situation trat am Frühstück auf. Ich ging hinunter zum Nüchtern und hörte Argumente. Ich sehe einen jungen Mann, der nett mit einem Rückpack angezogen ist, der mit dem Frühstücksbediensteten streitet, der einen Hut trägt. Es sah aus, als ob sie ihn vom Eingang blockiert, aber ich war besorgt, als der Streit auf voll auf Verflucht und schreien! Ich meine, sie waren ineinander gesichtet, bis jemand begann, den jungen Mann zu einem Ausgang zu schreien(?) Er schrie: ”Du wirst mich nicht verachten, weil ich ein Mann bin!”! Aber das Problem war das Frühstücksbetreuung. Anstatt die Situation durch einen Spaziergang zu verbreiten, ging sie zu dem jungen Mann, der ihn küssen, bedrohten und zerstört, ihn als heimlos anruft! Ich konnte es nicht glauben. Ich war so besorgt, dass ich aufstand und den Nügel in Angst verließ. Wie wusste sie, dass er keine Waffe in seinem Rückpack hatte? Ich habe den Manager auf die Pflicht angerufen, der das nicht besorgt scheint. Sie verteidigte ihren Arbeiter tatsächlich, indem sie sagte, er sei ”heimlos”. Ich sagte ihr sogar dann, er verdient ein wenig mehr Respekt und dass dieser Arbeiter vielleicht alles gelegt hat Die Patronen in Gefahr. Am nächsten Morgen habe ich diesenselben Arbeiter gehört, der den Kunden jeden Tag bei der Aus- und Einleitung der b
