I vigorously DO NOT RECOMMEND this "grand/ historic/ top-rated boutique hotel".!!! Upon my arrival to Bourbon Orleans Hotel, unfortunately, I encountered quite a few substandard events. To start off, the hotels' valet apprentices were NOT competent nor qualified, said information discussed at departure by ALL management. Unlawfully, my prescriptions were stolen, and this unfortunate event was agonizingly overlooked by Bourbon Orleans Hotel along with the valet service that was used. As a result of this fiasco, I spent my vacation in bed and in pain by virtue of/ thanks to this adversity. So, because of this unpredictable outcome, I requested a FULL refund from valet management, which was resolved.
In addition to the prior instance, another one came about when returning home and reviewing my credit card transactions. I noticed that Bourbon Orleans Hotel charged my account. This charge was of concern to me because my balcony, loft suite was already prepaid for MONTHS IN ADVANCE through Trip.com.!!! So, management investigated this issue and assured a refund. However, they never disclosed any additional information with me in relation to this SUBSTANTIAL amount. Now, 2 weeks later I'm STILL waiting on my refund and can't seem to get management on the phone to discuss this casualty.!!! All in all, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this "supposedly" 4/5 star rated, elegant, grand, historic hotel that is named one of New Orleans Top Hotels.! Bourbon Orleans Hotel mislead me as well as fabricated information to try and cover up their erroneousness/ blunder. Honestly, if they don't want to use a third-party website to conduct business with and then TRY to charge their guests anyways, then they need to cancel their services with them. Simple as that.!!!!!!
