OK, let's be honest, when you book a Premier Inn, you mainly know what you're going to get, even down to the room layout and the decor. So the only thing that really makes a difference, is the staff, the service and the food. We arrived a bit early and were greeted by Taila. As we couldn't check in and felt like a pint, we were given directions to the nearest pub, so made our way there. Upon returning, we had found out the room had been booked incorrectly on our side and with all rooms taken, Taila called an assistant and they systematically worked out a solution to change our room from one that had not booked in yet. Excellent service. All done with a smile and friendly attention. As the room wasn't set up to our booking, Taila found time to get the bed made up herself. In the morning, she greeted us again and we thanked her for her efforts. Breakfast was fresh, hot and went down a treat. We checked out soon after that. But like I said at the top, your experience is only as good as the staff, the service and the food. What could have been an awkward moment, became resolved by Taila's endeavours and comforting help. Top marks for her and the service she gave, going above and beyond, what was initially expected.
