Antique cottages exceeded my expectations on how much fun and memories one can collect. It was exciting right from the private/solo boat ride from the shore by Geoffrey, a professional guide, that ensured all individuals were catered for especially for one that had a fear of water. The cottages are accessible by both road and water but due to the rainy season in Uganda, water means were advisable. The rooms are clean, spacious with a serene and tranquil environment to relax to after long trips and activities at the cottage. The ziplining and ninja hurdles are conveniently in proximity of the cottages, a boat cruise around the lake, hiking to higher altitudes along which a community craft shop is located for collecting souvenirs to suit the cottage name. The view along the trail and on top of the trail is breath taking and gives an opportunity to interact with locals while they carry out their day to day tasks. A group of children stood out as they shared their school experience at Little Angels, a school across the cottages, which has an engine powered boat to pick up children for school and drop them off. Advance booking is important for proper planning due to the distance between the cottages and the town. These would include food, drinks and any additional items for your comfortable stay. The team at antique was hospitable and met every need in a timely way including staying up with us until late while at the camp fire. Thank you Geoffrey, Fiona and the rest of the team. Overall, the whole experience of having a boat available for activities away from the shore added a custom touch. Good luck on leaving the cotttages on your last day, it was the hardest part of my trip even with the cottage tour vehicle dropping us off to town.
