After arriving from a 10hr flight into NBO, we found Kweto Hotel to be a beautiful destination and start to our holiday in Kenya. We were greeted at the entrance by Anthony who we found to be very personable and helpful. Anthony brought our luggage inside and provided a brief history of the property. His timing and delivery were perfect. Gideon checked us in and was consultative on our upcoming stay. After telling him our plans for later in the weekend (early morning Saturday Safari); he suggested we could pay in advance for only Friday morning breakfast. His approach helped put us at ease immediately. He also said our hotel payment (we used a combination of cash and points), would require an additional deposit of which he asked, "would this be ok?". His use of the question helped build trust and was greatly appreciated. Anthony then took us to our room while providing a tour of the hotel, for instance the '1893' coffee bar named for the year Kenya started growing cocoa beans, in addition to the restaurants available. A truly delightful way to be welcolmed and begin our weekend stay!
