Das Hotel liegt direkt am Biwa-See, etwa 8 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Nagahama und 5 Gehminuten vom Geschichtsmuseum der Burg Nagahama entfernt. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, abends gibt es kostenlose Getränke und Snacks.

Das Hotel ist alt, aber die heiße Quelle ist angenehm. Die Landschaft ist so schön. Es ist sehr angenehm, morgens einen Spaziergang zu machen. Es gibt kostenlosen Nachmittagstee, Reiswein usw. und das Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig. Das Bett ist zu weich, aber das Personal ist sehr enthusiastisch.

Ich habe es gefunden, als ich nach einem preisgünstigen Hotel gesucht habe, um den Biwa-See zu besichtigen. Obwohl es ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel ist, war der Preis sehr angemessen. Ich war überrascht, wie teuer das Abendessen war, fand aber, dass es sein Geld recht gut wert war. Das Begrüßungsgetränk und die Snacks wie Nüsse und Gummibärchen waren köstlich. Das Badezimmer war auch geräumig und luxuriös. Das Frühstück beginnt um 7 Uhr morgens, also dachte ich, es wäre leer, wenn ich als erstes am Morgen hingehe, aber das Gegenteil war der Fall. Die meisten Gäste waren älter, also standen wir früh auf. Aber auch das Frühstück war lecker. Es ist ein bisschen weit von Osaka und Kyoto entfernt, aber ich bin froh, dass ich gekommen bin.

The buffet breakfast is very great! A great variety of dishes could be chosen. Highly recommended the burger and salmon benedict eggs. The room is a little bit aged but still clean.

The room is spacious and has a great view overlooking the lake and the castle. It's autumn and can see a lot of red maple trees in the park before the castle. Comfort bed too!

I chose this hotel because it is close to lake biwako and my friends area. To my disappointment, my room was at the end of the hallway supposedly facing the lake but upon entering my room, there was no window facing the lake instead my view of the window is the car parking of the hotel. The room is definitely dated, old television, i only had tea bags, on my first day and they never replenish until i checked out., no coffee as well. The carpet is red which looks so old, has some old marks too and the bed is old too, but nevertheless the room is clean. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was great. But if i will compare it to a business hotel where i stayed before in the same area, the beds, amenities of the business hotel and the hotel rate is more worth it than this one. I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. My impression is, it is an okay place but not great. I paid almost double the price of the business hotel where i stayed last year, which had modern beds and nice amenities but for the price this hotel is charging i don't think it is worth it. This hotel needs to update a lot of things my room looks so old and feels so old. I thought staying in a hotel like this was going to be a nice treat for myself as it was more expensive than my usual budget but it was a disappointment. Really sorry if i had to say all of these on my review but the room is really dated.on every single thing.

Huge price gouging if you don't pre book dinners. We had to pay $90 per head for as very average buffet dinner. Nice hotel but foreign management style ruining hotel.

What we love: The onsen, the nightly free happy hour, and the amazing breakfast Location is pretty good. Nice lakeside views, near the old town, and quiet. If you drive, there is ample parking but it does get quite full when we were there mid Dec 2024, this means more locals visit than tourists. We used it as a base for visiting nearby ski resorts such as GranSnow and Biwako (roughly 60-90mins drive). It's about a 10-15min drive to the city centre where you can find an abundance of food and shopping! The room is quite spacious, has a great view of Lake Biwa, and generally comfortable and cosy. The breakfast is fantastic, quite a spread although I wished they changed some of the items more frequently. The onsen is big, and we enjoyed it every single night. The best was the homemade barley drink they served-simply Oishi! Not to mention a nightly nightcap of free booze, soft drinks and snacks available at the lobby from 7pm till 10/11pm. Nice way to wind down. This hotel has a old-style, somewhat luxe, chillout, laid-back vibe, where you can really hang out if you like, at your own pace. Highly recommended.

Great location by the beautiful lake biwa. Walking distance to the castle and city. Rooms are a little aged.

Booked Standard twin and double rooms for my family, but there was a glitch somewhere, hotel received my booking as Classic twin rooms instead. Double checked my booking on Trip.com and asked reception for a clarification. The staff members were extremely helpful, checked, and gave us upgraded rooms instead because the room type we booked for were fully booked. We really appreciate them for doing this especially because we checked in late. Other than this, everything else was decent.

Very nice and spacious rooms, had a corner room with two windows to admire the lake. Negative note is the carpet was very old, and dirty from stains. Will stay again
