Pietra e Mare - Mykonos Moments

Sobald wir am Flughafen ankamen. Ich rief im Hotel an, um ein Taxi zu organisieren. Der Fahrer kam an und brachte uns zum Hotel, das nicht mehr als 7 Meilen entfernt war. Er hat uns 70 Euro berechnet. Das Hotelpersonal begrüßte ihn auf eine ziemlich seltsame Art und Weise. Als wir uns der Rezeption näherten, wurde uns gesagt, dass keine Kinder erlaubt seien. Keine früheren Nachrichten gaben dies an, was uns völlig unbewusst machte. Sie haben uns abgewiesen, unabhängig von unserer Buchung. Glücklicherweise war mein Geschwisterchen in einem Hotel gebucht, das eine halbe Meile entfernt war. Wir riefen dann nach einem Taxi und seltsamerweise kam derselbe Fahrer an. Er bat um 30 Euro, um uns eine halbe Meile entfernt und zurück zu bringen. Stattdessen rief ich mein Geschwisterchen an und er organisierte eine kostenlose Mitfahrgelegenheit vom Hotelmanager. Dann brachte er meinen Neffen in das andere Hotel. Wir fragten die Mitarbeiter von Piettra, ob sie uns eine halbe Meile entfernt fahren könnten. Aber sie behaupteten, sie hätten kein Fahrzeug. 10 Minuten später, am Ende ihrer Schicht, wurden sie gesehen, wie sie wegfuhren. Sich in ihrer eigenen Sprache zu unterhalten und zu kichern reichte aus, um jemanden abzuschrecken. Am Ende der Fahrt wurde unsere Karte für den Rückruf des Taxifahrers belastet. Darüber hinaus funktionierte das WLAN überhaupt nicht. Am 4. Tag unseres Aufenthalts wurde uns gesagt, wir sollten gehen, da das Hotel aufgrund des Wetters geschlossen und an einen anderen Ort verlegt wurde. Der Transport war verfügbar, aber wir mussten eine weitere hohe Gebühr zahlen. Wir haben dann unser eigenes Fahrzeug für 70 Pfund für die Woche gebucht. Was wir zu Beginn der Reise hätten tun sollen. Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch, die Aussicht ist brillant, aber das derzeitige junge weibliche Personal war völlig unzugänglich und unprofessionell. Es gab jedoch ein hilfreiches männliches Mitglied. Defo würde diesen Ort nicht mit 5 Sternen bewerten. Ich war auf der ganzen Welt und war nicht so wütend auf die Erfahrung.

A great location to explore the region, the accommodation is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Two outstanding members of staff our cleaner and Andrew who looked after our needs in the restaurant and at the bar. His choice of music was excellent and made the place more vibrant. A must place to visit.

We spent a week at the Pietra e mare hotel with my partner, and the experience was better than we expected - it was hard for us to leave! The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (for us, the most beautiful), the view is breathtaking, the hotel is quiet, ideal for couples. The staff is unbelievably kind, so thank you again to Maria for the attention you gave us, which made our stay even more incredible, and thank you also to Michelle for your kindness. If we come back to Mykonos, we'll definitely come back to Pietra e mare hotel.

We spend 4 days there after an offer from Secret Escapes that looked good. The Hotel had only been opened a week before we arrived (no mention of that in the Secret Escapes offer) and it was DEFINITELY not ready. Lovely bar space but not open. The restaurant was, at best, average (had the worst pizza ever there, as the choice of dishes was limited) and certainly not a 4 star. Short of staff even though the ones available did their best to compensate. Definitely need a car to go anywhere which, in Mykonos, is very expensive. Taxi to Mykonos town 45 euros. Not a lot near by apart of two beach bars/restaurants with high prices. We we recommended to go the Ano Mera, a small village, 20 euros ride away, as the choice of food and atmosphere in the hotel was poor. Lots of touristy restaurants there but not very good. (see restaurant reviews). Michelle, the manager, was excellent and did her best and so did the two lovely receptionist (both 3rd year students of the Tourist college in Athens, not what you expect for a 4* hotel). The boy that served the food in the restaurant doubled up as drink waiter in the bar ( if you insisted) and luggage handler together with the girl receptionists!!! Our room was a large suit with an outdoor jacuzzi but needed a lot of work still doing to it. Perhaps this time next year it will be a good place to stay but Secret Escapes should be a lot more careful what the offer. Not to mention we found out that we cold have had a better deal even directly with the hotel.

We stayed at the hotel in August and can confidently say they it was a delightful experience from the start to finish. The staff at the front desk were not only professional but also incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The room itself was a haven of comfort and very clean. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast offered by the hotel. Every morning we were treaded with delicious local specialties. We totally loved it and will come back .
