Our first visit to Mudgee and we were completely blown away by The Loft Cottage at Evanslea. Stacey welcomed us and showed us around The Loft which included many little additions to make us comfortable - wine, cheese, bacon & eggs, bread, chocolate biscuits! The room was so inviting with the combustion stove heating it and to have a relaxing bath as well was wonderful. Stacey kindly ordered and delivered us pizza for dinner which was delicious. Sitting out on the deck and looking over the gardens was so peaceful. Thank you Stacey for being the perfect host.

This was our second time staying at Evanslea. This time we stayed in the Orchard Cottage. Evanslea is absolutely beautiful! Stacey the owner is so lovely, she remembered us from our last visit and messaged us the day before to see if we wanted anything and asked if we would like her to book us into the restaurant we enjoyed so much last time. Stacey is the ultimate host and she makes you feel so welcome and so special. The Orchard Cottage is stunning! The furnishings are exquisite and the cottage is so comfortable. The little touches everywhere make you feel so at home! There is a large spa with luxurious bath gel and the shower has two rain shower heads. There is wine and cheese waiting for you, the fire has been prepared and makes the cottage toasty warm, fresh sourdough, muesli, fresh milk, an array of tea and coffee, a pod machine, biscuits, crackers, port, eggs, bacon all await! The bed is so soft and warm, the pillows so soft and loads of fresh soft towels. Nothing has been overlooked. It is just such a special place. The Orchard Cottage is so private and overlooks a beautiful serene pond. It is like looking at a painting it is so beautiful! Thank you so much Stacey for making us feel so welcome and we simply cannot wait to visit again!

Stacey was an amazing host, even before we had arrived I felt welcomed and looking forward to our stay! All her suggestions on things to do in the area were just spot on. We absolutely loved The Orchard Cottage, very private, comfortable and the little kitchen was so well set up. The location is walking distance to the main part of town, but once you turn into the driveway to Evanslea you feel like you are in a completely secluded location. The lovely gardens and water features just make it so picturesque. We will absolutely be back! Thanks again!

A lovely weekend escape. Gorgeous interiors, gardens and wildlife. 10 minute walk to town. DIY breakfast, wine & cheese platter provided, perfect for enjoying on the deck while taking in the serenity of the gardens. One of the best places we have stayed!

Evanslea House is a beautiful, spacious house that is conveniently located within walking distance of town while providing a peaceful retreat on extensive manicured grounds. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating. We arrived in the rain and they made us a beautiful fire and even picked up takeaway food for our cosy night in. The house is very well laid out for big groups, with the bedrooms set apart and several common areas to relax in. Everything is immaculate including the extensive grounds. We loved hearing the birds in the morning, swimming in the pool, walking into town along the river, watching Netflix with a fire going when it rained.

Stayed in their beautiful Cottage in the CBD, handy location and the cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you might need. The host couldn't be more helpful, she communicated promptly and made sure we were happy. Stayed in winter the cottage had good heating so were kept toasty. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Wonderful accommodation for three night stay in Mudgee. We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage which was delightful. The amenities were outstanding, the bed super comfortable, all in an open plan layout with a patio and undercover car parking right at the front door. The wood burning fire kept us warm on the chilly nights, though the days were beautiful. Stacey takes great care to ensure that guests want for nothing. Evanslea is set in beautiful gardens right on the river and we can't recommend this accommodation enough. We were able to have our toy poodle stay with us which we appreciated as well.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Evanslea for two nights. There are not enough stars to rate this beautiful place!! We stayed in the loft which was amazing. Evanslea is located close to the town centre and is an easy flat walk into town. We were met by the host Stacey who was so lovely. She kept in touch with us about our arrival time and showed us to our room. The little touches were so special! We were blown away by the beauty of this place. We had a bottle of wine and a cheese platter waiting for us and in the fridge were our breakfast items, eggs, bacon, an abundance of fresh butter and preserves, milk and a loaf of fresh sourdough bread. Even the fire was set up for us ready to go!! When we walked into our room we were greeted by the beautiful scent of candle which has been lit for our arrival. Stacey booked us dinner at Isabelle's Italian restaurant which was divine and a a must if you are visiting Mudgee. It is so peaceful, private and quiet at Evanslea and Stacey texted us the next day to see if we needed anything , outstanding service! The room was beautifully appointed and there are little touches everywhere, it is like a home away from home . The furnishings are divine and the bed was soft and comfortable , you can access Netflix as well. In the lounge there are a myriad of magazines, board games and DVD's and it was lovely reading in front of the fire! There is even port for you if you would like to enjoy this by the fire!! The kitchen is set up with everything you would need to make for a very comfortable stay and this also gives you options if you want to eat in rather than go out for meals. The bathroom is also beautifully appointed with quality toiletries, soft fluffy towels and a piping hot shower. In the loft there is also a large spa bath and there is even bubble bath to use if you would like. We ate breakfast on our private balcony which was lovely sitting in the Autumn sun. The grounds of Evanslea are divine and so pretty just perfect for an afternoon stroll. We enjoyed our stay at Evanslea so much we didn't want to leave. We will most certainly be back again and again!! Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable!!
