Hotels mit Bergblick in Taupo

Been meaning to stay for years as rest of family have many times. Loved it, BUT....... security needs updating. Maybe they are doing that as toilet security door was missing and so was front access barrier! Had some very suspect people using toilet and shower facilities this morning. Definitely didn't look like guest and didn't have caravan or tent. By the look of the face tattoos looked like and behaved like gang members. Without security gates or doors they will just come in. Also some people had a lot of food- meat stolen from fridge. Sad. :( ALL THAT SAID- it's still a lovely camp. Facilities are clean, and good location next to hot pools and good sites with reasonable privacy on most sites. Would stay again.

Room is clean, tidy and spacious. Nice to have a balcony but it is by the side of road. A private kitchen or kitchenette is not included but there is a large common kitchen in the 2/F. Like most hotels or motels there, there is nobody in the reception counter from 8:40 pm to 10 am next day. Good to have free undercover on-site parking.

We spent three nights at this very comfortable hotel in Taupo in early June. We were visiting our daughter who lives in the town but didn’t have enough room for us to stay. I was after a hotel with a view of the beautiful lake, but still within walking distance to town as we didn’t have a car. Suncourt Hotel fitted the brief perfectly. We booked a Premier Deluxe Lakeview Studio room. The room that we were allotted was on the top floor. There was no lift, so you needed to climb the outdoor steps with luggage. Our room was very large, with a king size bed, a desk, two comfortable chairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower and a free-standing bath. There was also a very large balcony with a stunning view of the lake and a further two chairs and a small table. The reception staff were very helpful not only with our original reservation, but also when we needed to add a night and with any questions that we had. The only downside to me was that their restaurant was not open on the evening that we checked in, which was Sunday, and also not for breakfast on the Monday morning. We did know this in advance though, and as the town was easily walkable it wasn’t a problem. We had two breakfasts in the restaurant, and they were excellent. As we had other dinner plans, we didn’t have dinner in the restaurant, but our daughter and her partner have eaten there and loved it. If you are looking for a very large hotel room with a view, then Suncourt is for you. I believe they have much larger apartment style rooms which would be more suitable for families, although we didn’t get to see any of these.

This is an older property with large rooms, well maintained and very close to town. Stayed overnight on way back to Auckland. Huge room, was originally a timeshare motel now solely motel. Very helpful receptionists. The key to this motel is it's proximity to the town and eateries etc. ie 3 minute walk to town and also across the road from the lake which is nice for a morning walk. Some motels in Taupo are far from town and you need a car. This is not the case with this one. Got a decent rate on Booking. Would stay here again based on the size of the room and it's central location. Enjoyed a nice dip in the Wairakei Terraces hotpools (age 14 years and over), got a decent discount voucher for entry on the grabone site.

Great room - one kingsize bed upstairs and a queensize bed downstairs -jacuzzi in upstairs bedroom and super view of the Lake . Not much noise from the road. Water pressure was excellent . Only thing that would make ot perfect would be a door at the stairs for privacy. ( and champagne glasses -just because bubbles are just best in bubble glasses 😝Pool could use a clean but to be fair it is winter and no one uses it :) very friendly staff . We got an upgrade so always happy with that !

We had Rm 303, 3rd floor. We loved the fabulous view of Lake Taupo. We liked the proximity to eateries. Beds were comfy, so were pillows and sheets. Staff we saw were frirndly too. But, this motel had its heyday in the 1980s and is in need of a full refurb. It shows. Lift was noisy (outside our room). Traffic noise noticeable, motel is on a very busy road so couldnt leave window open. To access the bedroom one had to go through the bathroom (toilet not separate). Or, if you were in the 2nd bedroom, you were trapped in there until the person finished in the bathroom. Light switch for bathroom in the kitchen. No air con/heat pump. Only portable fans or oil fin heaters. Everything tired, although clean. Shower pressure not strong and you have to step up into it, and step down to get out of it. Could be an issue for elderly or people with mobility issues. We thought there are newer motels that are better value in Taupo to stay at.

Wir hatten eine Executive Suite mit Spa und wir sind sehr beeindruckt mit dem Zimmer. Es war gut ausgestattet und war sorgfältig betreut, um Handtücher usw., nicht nur geworfen. Bei der oberen Etage haben wir einen schönen Blick auf den See aus unserem Balkon. Die Lage war nahe der Front und der Preis sehr vernünftig. Es fühlte sich besser als ein Motel.

Unfortunately this hotel has really gone downhill. We have stayed in the past and it was always immaculate. However this stay, we had a totally different experience. The room was very tired, paint peeling, shower lining peeling, towel rails falling off. The adjustment for the thermal heating never worked, everytime we used the Kettle it blew the fuse in the whole unit. There were stains on the comforter, spare blanket, stains on the sheets and duvet. Bath wasn't cleaned well. Fridge was filthy, especially the vegetable drawer. Outdoor furniture very tired and some ones broken, bean bags were stained. We won't be back for that price, really disappointing as it's a beautiful location.

Dieser Ort ist großartig, die Manager sind fantastisch - super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war großartig, es ist ein schöner Spaziergang in die Stadt. Die Wohnung, die wir geblieben hatten, war klein, aber gut eingerichtet und obwohl das Resort auf einem besetzten roten Zimmer sehr ruhig war - hörte nichts in der Nacht. Der Pool ist fantastisch, perfekte Zeit, die Grundstücke waren unschädlich und das Resort selbst (und das Zimmer) war wirklich sauber. Würde das Reef Resort sehr empfehlen.

Der Service an der Hotelrezeption schien nicht aufrichtig zu sein, vielleicht sind wir Chinesen. Die Einrichtungen sind gut und Sorten. Das Essen ist auch gut.
