We had no problems with the hotel, its location or cleanliness. However, we were double charged for our room back in March 2022 and 7 months later have still not received a refund. Upon check in the girl charged our credit card the incorrect amount for our booking. When I pointed out the error, she recharged my credit card in the correct amount and said she would issue a credit once she asked someone who knew how to process it. Shortly after we were issued a credit and given the appropriate slips indicating the 2 charges and the credit charges to my card. When we arrived home I noticed 2 charges from the hotel on my credit card statement but no credit. For some reason the credit has never processed to my credit card. Up on closer inspection of the credit slip I noticed it says INCORRECTO at the bottom and therefore never got processed. I have sent numerous emails trying contact someone at the hotel since this booking trying to get my $463.50 USD refund; and no one will return my emails or my phone calls. I even had the booking agency contact the hotel (***********) and they still will not correct this matter. This is not a big hotel (it has 21 rooms) and at the time of our stay it had very few bookings so reconciling this matter should not be a problem. I wonder if they make a practice of doing this type of thing??

Ich wurde von dem Hotelrezeptor sehr schlecht betreut, der den Manager nicht anrufen und seinen Namen nicht sagen wollte (ich wollte wissen, um dann eine Beschwerde beim Hotel zu machen). Der Empfangsberechtigte spricht auch nur Spanisch, nicht Englisch, Portugiesisch, Italienisch oder eine andere Sprache. Ich denke, es ist ein Fehler, für die Rezeption eines Hotels, das das Days Inn-Netzwerk beabsichtigt, jemanden zu werfen, der nicht Englisch spricht oder letztlich nur die lokale Sprache spricht. Damit konnte ich mein Problem nicht lösen und ich werde daher immer versuchen, das Hotelnetz Days Inn by Wyndham zu vermeiden.

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it

Die Wohnung, die ich blieb, obwohl ich im ersten Stock war großartig, groß, sehr ruhige Luft/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme-/Wärme Das Zimmer verfügt über eine mini-Küche mit Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank. Bad OK und mit guten Handtüchern. Frühstück war zufriedenstellend. Neben der Bequemlichkeit der Wohnung ist die Lage perfekt, in einem Radius von 700 m hat Dutzende guter Restaurants und Cafés: Mexikoner, Steakhouses, Hamburger, McDonald’s, Starbucks, unter anderem, durch die Straße hat ein Minimarkt, Obwohl ich in der Nähe der rührendsten Straße von Punta Carretas, ist aus dem Wurzeln, 1 Quadrat entfernt, schließlich hervorragend Kosten-Nutzen, genossen ich sehr. Pflege auch nicht verlassen zu wünschen, nett und erbittert. Die Parkplätze sind begrenzt, aber auch wenn sie voll ist (was in den Hotels der Region üblich ist) hat mehrere Seitenstraßen, wo das Fahrzeug ohne Probleme gestartet werden kann.

I stayed 3 nights in the so called double standard room. My room was on the 6th floor overlooking the street. I enjoyed my stay at Own Montevideo. The room had a nice modern setup with a plenty of storage space, switches/power outlets in all the right places, many lighting fixtures. I could open windows and get a fresh air. The A/C worked fine. Wi-Fi was fine as well. The bathroom was of a decent size, with the separation between the sink and the toilet/shower. There was a window next to the bathroom sink, with a plenty of light coming in. Everything was in decent shape and looked clean. I found the small shelf was missing in the shower but it didn’t bother me much. Noise level was average. Nothing super loud that bothered me. The breakfast was adequate, with friendly personnel. One thing to know is that you have to specifically ask for coffee/tea and it will be brought to you. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located. I walked to Pocitos/Montevideo sign and back. Everything is a short Uber ride away, with a plenty of Uber cars available. Uber ride to Buquebus terminal for direct ferry to BA at the morning took around 15 minutes. If you arrive at MVD airport without a lot of luggage, you can take DM1 bus at the front of the terminal (84 pesos as of November 2022), get off at the last stop and walk ahead for 2 minutes and you are right there at the hotel door. Very convenient. All in all, everything was good, as it seems like everything else in Montevideo. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and am giving it 5 stars review. I certainly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Montevideo but there are improvements needed. We travel to Uruguay from the US every 1- 2 years to visit my husband's family and have stayed many places. This hotel is beautiful but the rooms were not as comfortable as expected. We wouldn’t stay here again unless improvements were made because comfort is very important when traveling such a long way and staying up to 2 weeks. Pros: The hotel decor is visually beautiful. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. It was nice that some of the staff spoke English. My husband is a native Spanish speaker and it was great that he didn't have to translate the restaurant menu for me. The morning breakfast was very good and the staff there great. The views from the 10th floor hotel bar and DJ were fantastic. Cons: Not worth the price of the upgrade, and not what you would expect for a hotel with hotel with 4+ rating. We asked if an upgrade was an available at check in because we were staying for 11 nights. We were offered a Suite room that was bigger in size and has a small kitchenette. The size of the room was better for us for a long stay but unfortunately the bed was the worst bed we have ever slept in. It was way too soft, no support and the pillows were too soft. I realize of course this is also about preference but we have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such a horrible bed. We traveled a long way and a good nights rest is always important. The bathroom- I prefer a long sink or his/her countertop when we travel so that we can arrange our skin care, makeup, beauty products etc. This sink was tiny so I had no place to put my toiletries when getting ready. The lighting is too dark in the rooms even with the curtains fully opened. When I was getting ready, I could barely see anything. A dimmer light switch would be much better. It would also be nice if Restaurant Polo Bamba had a rotating menu for dinner options.

Schrecklicher Service - dieses Hotel ist nicht einmal 1 Stern wert. Ihr Personal ist nicht richtig ausgebildet und unser Aufenthalt in Montevideo ruiniert, verschwenden Sie nicht Ihr Geld hier gibt es viele bessere und günstigere Hotels zur Verfügung. 1) Das Hotel verlor unsere Buchung und schuldete uns, so dass wir 30 Minuten bei der Rezeption um 10 Uhr abends warten für unser Zimmer 2) Das Fenster in unserem Zimmer war kaputt, wir informierten sie am Morgen und als wir zurück zum Hotel kamen, dass Abend wir informiert wurden kann das Fenster nicht öffnen und es war etwas beheben, aber sie würden es morgen reparieren (kein Angebot von Entschädigung oder Entschuldigung) 3. Das Rezeptionpersonal ignorierte wiederholt unsere Telefongespräche, als wir versuchten, die Zimmerrechnung zu klären (Ich rief in 15 Minuten für 1 Stunde, so dass es offensichtlich war, dass sie nicht auf unser Zimmer) - nie in allen Hotels, die ich auf der ganzen Welt geblieben habe, haben Rezeption Mitarbeiter wiederholt ignoriert eine Zimmeranruf, es ist der schlimmste Service möglich 4. Sie versuchten, uns mehr zu belasten, als ursprünglich vereinbart für unser Zimmer bei der Check-out und fast verpassten uns unser Flug Ich habe in Hotels überall in Südamerika geblieben und das war der schlimmste Service, den ich je erhalten habe - machen Sie sich einen Gefallen und sparen Schmerzen des schlecht ausgebildeten Personals und Buchen Sie ein anderes Hotel.

Stayed in the hotel for two weeks. The hotel's location is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they helped me in everything I needed. The room is comfortable and clean, as well as the whole hotel.

Das Hotel ist unglaublich sauber und sieht neu aus (es ist eigentlich 1.5 Jahre alt). Das Zimmer (Zimmer 510 & 410) war geräumig, sauber und sehr schön dekoriert. Der Duschewasserdruck war unglaublich und die Betten sehr komfortabel! Aber der beste Teil dieses Hotels ist das Personal! Ich habe 2 Zimmer für 2 separate Nächte gebucht und Andres am Frontdesk machte es einfach und hält uns in dem gleichen Zimmer. Vanessa, Maximillian und der Gentleman, der mit Andres am Abend zusammenarbeitete, machten eine Tour nach Punta del Este, die wir nicht möglich, möglich war. Danke für Ihre Hilfe! Ich werde niemals noch ein anderes Hotel für meinen nächsten Aufenthalt in Montevideo suchen. Ich werde nur im Hotel Costanero bleiben! Sie gingen oben und darüber und die Lage am Strand ist perfekt!
