Meine Frau und ich haben unseren Flug verpasst und mussten ganz schnell etwas buchen. Der erschwinglichste und vergänglichste Raum war MOBY KOCH! Ich bin Pädagogin und arbeite an meiner Doktorarbeit, und meine Frau ist Köchin … wir haben die Räumlichkeiten geliebt. Diese Geschichte davon. Der Charm! Ich fragte mich, wie der Raum aussah, bevor diese wunderbare Familie ihn mit anderen teilte … die Gastfreundschaft war phänomenal … der Raum war offen und sicher! Cool, was du willst, wenn dir danach ist! Sie bieten morgens Kaffee und Tee an (aber Sie müssen ihn selbst zubereiten, und das ist für uns völlig in Ordnung. Mein einziger Vorschlag wäre, dass es im zweiten Stock einen Router gibt, wo Sie Ihre eigenen Geräte und möglicherweise eine Klimaanlage nutzen können. Sogar Mit diesen werde ich alle 10 mit meiner Familie zurückkommen. Ich liebe es und wenn Sie jemals eine echte Montego-Atmosphäre haben möchten, in der Sie rausgehen, spazieren gehen und sich mit der Kultur auseinandersetzen können, dann sind Sie hier genau richtig! 1st time staying in hostel! I was scared to sleep in a room with men. I was not use to the area so I slept in a huge living quarter. After that night, I relaxed and realized no one here is trying to harm me and the staff stay with me to help me feel safe. I got to meet new friends, had GREAT conversations, even left with the new people to explore since I was traveling alone. By the 5th day I was leaving family was phone#’s and saying bye to people by name. I am glad I stayed and I love the first travel experience within a hostel. Thank you !!

This was my first solo trip out of the country and at a hostel. Mobay Kotch made me feel as though I was not alone. From the time I was picked up from the airport, I felt good vibes. Arriving at the hostel was a bit scary because of the dogs (I am terrified of them). I knew to expect one from reading the reviews, but there were two. After the whole "sniff" thing I had no problems. I met some really cool ppl and we hang out and had tons of fun. Although there was a disgusting moment from one of the guests with cleanliness, overall the place is clean and a housekeeper comes daily. I was aware of there being no central air, so I packed a cooling towel. It is nice and breezy at night with the ceiling fans. The cold showers I could appreciate because it was sooo hottt!!! I ate from the street vendors, because I don't like cooking and EVERYTHING is walking distance. I would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is everything!! Pros: 15-30 min walk from Doc Cave’s Beach , M’garitaville, One Man Beach, and Harmony Beach Park I opted for the private room with dbl bed. Room was quite comfortable. Maria, one of the most friendly souls on the planet, checked me in and offered lots of suggestions on things to do and see in the area. Hi’Lo supermarket at corner of hostel for all your necessities. Just a Couple of suggestions to the manager: when the bathroom is shared, and when one of the 2 toilets aren’t in working order, that needs to be repaired as quickly as possible. Also couldn’t hurt to wipe down the walls and bathroom doors every now and then. Stains show badly on white paint. Would definitely stay here again. Staying here, You will save tons of money to spend on nice restaurants and activities, which was the whole point of vacationing with a local flare. I mean, if you are stoned the whole day this might be okay, but it wasn't my case. I was so uncomfortable. It was so hot and humid inside the house. not a single fan or ventilation in the bathroom. but not worries because there is NO HOT WATER in the shower. WEIRD. I have stayed in many hostels around the world, and this was the most disappointing one. The woman who checked me in was pleasant and helpful. that is my only positive aspect.

No bath towels provided, no A/C, wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, outlets in the bathroom also doesn’t work and no water fountain, “owner” that refused to give his name, is rude and confront guests. ***SOLO WOMEN : I do not recommend Montego Bay! Been all over but this area really scared me. It’s chaotic. Traffic is horrific. Men catcalls you every other second.*** Hostel’s space is cool but very raw. I know it’s cheap but I’ve been in multiple hostels and the structure was way better. The lady is super nice and attentive. The owner kept confronting me when I complained and asked to cancel my second night. Apparently he is the almighty God, never wrong !!!!!!
