Let's be clear: This is a POD HOTEL. For some reason I did not realize that when I booked this hotel. I am a seasoned traveler not y first rodeo, but whether it was my user error and I didn't look closely enough at the photos, or the description of the property wasn't clear, I was SHOCKED to open my hotel room door and find the bathroom sink front & center and the toilet in the shower. While this whole hotel is new, it felt like attention was paid too much on things that didn't matter - too much tech and too little human interaction. There is an unstaffed front desk - guests check themselves in which is fine if it wasn't confusing where the front desk is or if you're trying to check in early. ( I wasn't the only person who thought this was strange.) You can't shut off the air in your room at al so if you're like me and got a room with a clunky AC, you're SOL on getting a good night's sleep. Need to iron something? The description in the iPad says "go to ironing heaven" - but like what does that mean??? I had to call the "front desk" to ask where is the iron? Apparently there's an ironing room on every floor - why not just say that? What a waste of time. Notwithstanding all of these oddities, the people who work here are really nice and the breakfast and coffee are super tasty. I just feel like overall, the language around EVERYTHING needs to be much more clear and normal. I won't be staying here again - too confusing, not a relaxing hotel experience, and frankly I don't feel like it was as advertised.
