We have Ambassador Elite Status from Marriott, and I must say we were treated truly like the Marriott Ambassadors. My wife and I received exceptional service from Gabriel, David, Aurora, Sergio, Elisa and many others in our 20 days stay. Gabriel even offered to cook the customized vegetarian Indian food for us, which we duly accepted. Needless to say that we have spent 300+ nights in Marriott across the world in last couple of years , but we were truly impressed by the hospitality of the staff of Courtyard Vallejo, Mexico City. I highly recommend Courtyard and Fairfield Inn, Vallejo.

Ich blieb in der Nacht des 25. Oktober 2022 im Hotel Brasilia. Ich bezahlte 1.050 pesos für ein Zimmer im fünften Stock mit einem Einzelbett. Dies wurde auf 53.02 USD umgerechnet, als ich mit meiner Debitkarte bezahlt habe. Dies umfasste ein Frühstücksbuffet. Positives: In der Nähe von mehreren Busstationen. Das Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und sicher. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, aber es war komfortable bis spät Morgen, als die Sonne das Zimmer erhitzt. Es gab viel heißes Wasser in der Dusche. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet. Negative: Es gibt WiFi, aber das Signal war schwach und inkonsistent im Zimmer, in dem ich war. Es war besser im Restaurant. Ich hätte gern ein Fenster etwas mehr öffnen können, um in frischem Luft zu lassen. Ich verstehe Sicherheitsbedenken, aber ich mag auch gute Luftverkehrsdienste während ich schlafe.

Ich blieb in Zimmer 154 am Donnerstag, dem 6. Oktober 2022. Ich habe 650 pesos gezahlt, die auf $32.53 (USD) umgerechnet, als ich mit meiner Debitkarte gezahlt habe. Ich habe diese Lage gewählt, weil es nahe dem Busbahnhof ist und ich brauchte nur einen Ort, um zu schlafen, nachdem ich fast zwanzig Stunden von Tapachula reist. Das Bett war komfortabel. Das Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und komfortabel, auch ohne Wärme oder AC. Es gab viel heißes Wasser in der Dusche. Meine einzigen Beschwerden waren, dass es keine Fenster oder andere natürliche Lichter gab, und das Toilette nicht richtig fließt, so musste ich den Abfallkorb mit Wasser füllen und es so fließen. Ich würde hier nochmal bleiben.

Ich musste nur den Prozess des Parkscheins gut angeben, ich musste um 3.00 Uhr abziehen und glücklicherweise die Person, die den Fahrschein im Maschinen bescheinigt, finden. Als ich Gastgeber bin, sagten sie nur, dass sie mich am Ausflug versiegeln würden, aber die Person, die dafür zuständig ist, sagte mir, dass es am Abend zu arbeiten ist, da es am Morgen nicht normal ist.

Excelente servicio por parte de todo el Staff del hotel, la recepcionista muy atenta y en todo momento dando los detalles sobre nuestro alojamiento, el desayuno incluido muy rico y sobre todo el trato del Sr. Armando que fue excelente en todo momento, muy amable, atento y servicial, gracias a personas cómo él, hacen la estancia muy amena, recomiendo muchísimo Hotel City Express La Villa!

The Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico is a new hotel. Its newness shows in any number of ways, both good and bad. First the good: Staff were all friendly. And my room was shiny new and free of signs of wear. Everything in the room worked perfectly. It is true that the room was rather small and that the view was mostly of a blank wall. Since I was by myself and did not spend much time in the room during the day, these latter issues didn’t bother me very much. There were, however, some issues that were also perhaps related to the hotel’s newness. The cleaning staff didn’t empty the wastebasket on the first day and didn’t replenish the Nespresso pods on the second. Perhaps they should start working from a checklist … ? Also, breakfast was only available half an hour later than advertised. And, oddly, only certain guests were offered omelettes. And, as someone who doesn’t eat meat, I was bothered by a cheese-and-luncheon-meat plate on which the cheese and luncheon meat were piled on top of each other. I would also have appreciated labels on the four stew-like dishes on offer—I couldn’t tell what they contained. There is also the issue of billing. When I checked in at 3 p.m., I was asked to pay the entire bill—no problem there. But, when I arrived in my room, I found an e-mail from hotel management informing me that, because the hotel was extra busy, I’d already been charged for day 1. It’s true that I’d opted for a “flexible” rate which required me to agree to pay for the first day whether I showed up or not, but it was a little startling to be charged for a no-show before the earliest possible check-in time—and then charged again when I checked in. It took a week for the double charge to disappear from my credit-card statement. I can’t believe Accor would have approved of this billing procedure. The thing that most bothered me about the hotel was the absence of a minibar. The TripAdvisor website—and also the websites of several booking agencies—all claim that rooms in the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico have minibars. The Accor website, I’ll admit, doesn’t. But I guess I’ve come to expect that hotels of a certain class would have minibars. And I missed having one, not for overpriced drinks, but for the groceries I bought. I wasn’t, in other words, very enthusiastic about the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico, although I acknowledge that, with a few changes, it could most definitely be turned into a very good hotel.
