El Palacito Secreto Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa

When looking for the perfect place to stay in Merida, look no further than the wonderful El Palacito Secreto. This centrally located hotel is an absolute gem. It lives up to its name, as once inside, you feel like you are in that secret garden, that you’ve just discovered. The beautiful landscaped gardens and pool are beyond expectations and you can feel the luxury and the serenity gives a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are wonderful as was our breakfast. We were sad to leave this wonderful haven in Merida and have plans already to return. El Palacito Secreto is one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed.

This place was a wonderful place to stay! The decor of Palacito Secreto was amazing and enchanting. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and we had a late check in and they were on hand to make sure we got into our room. The breakfast we had was delicious! I would definitely recommend!

A wonderful experience. We have stayed many times in Merida and this was by far the best hotel!! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Merida. The location is excellent in downtown Merida, and the receptionists were so helpful in recommending restaurants and place to visit. We will be back!

Behind the unassuming exterior, El Palacito Secreto is an absolute gem. As soon as you walk into the lobby and look through to the main part of the hotel, dominated by the lush swimming pool, you are met by a wealth of tasteful furniture and decorations. Our room, called Alicia, was beautiful and complete with everything we needed. The staff are all super-friendly and helpful, including Laura and Luis, but, in particular Andrea is charming, helpful, knowledgeable and lovely. Thank you to the whole team at El Palacito Secreto. 12 on a scale of 10. This place was fantastic. Walked into a nothing looking place to a stunning courtyard. It looks just like the review pics. Beautiful antiques, gorgeous bar, this place is good. My room was up the grand staircase on the left. Beautiful antique curved bed and rooms are big. My shower was huge. Breakfast was included and had several options. Delicious juice. Very nice servers who didn't speak a lot of English but were lovely. Bar opens in the afternoon about 3:30 and it is stunning. Bartender very nice. If you need they have a comunal fridge you can use and a sink with filtered water if you need that as well. There are actually 2 pools at the hotel and they mostly stayed shadded during the day but the courtyard was breezy and peaceful. Last and most important was the front desk staff. These ladies were so lovely and helped us so much with everything from dinner reservations, bus schedules, private drivers. I have to use a Cpap for sleep and they even found me distilled water. Nothing was too much and always with a smile. I highly recommend visiting Merida and staying at this charming small hotel. Also, cenote Mucuyche is a must.

This hotel is amazing. More like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The staff are super friendly and speak excellent English- Andrea and Alejandra were the best English speakers we encountered in our two weeks in Mexico. You feel like you have your own private concierge, chef and bartender. The breakfast they serve was delicious and the grounds were so peaceful with bird sounds and the beautiful decor and tile work. We had a room upstairs and there was such a nice breeze I napped with the AC off and the door/window open. They have a constant supply of delicious treats and coffee. The beds are comfortable, and even though there were other couples there we barely saw them. I wish we hadn’t had such a short time with so many excursions because I would’ve liked to spend more time Lounging at the beautiful pool. There’s free and easy to find parking on the street. The name “secret palace” makes sense because from the outside it just seems like any other house until you walk through the door, then it’s truly a palace.
