Más Palomas Concept House by Paloma's Hotels - Adults Only

For our visit to Mérida, Más Palomas Hotel was perfect because it is in a great location and it has clean, comfortable, modern rooms, but mostly because the people there are great. All of the staff that we interacted with were so kind and helpful. They made our stay at Más Palomas into a cultural experience. We were especially grateful to Óscar, who was helpful, informative about the city and patient with us when we tried to use our limited Spanish. We had a few helpful discussions about the differences between Spanish in Spain and in México, for example. The rooms overlook the pool area. The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off. We swam in it several times. Our room was on the second floor, so we looked down on the pool. Our room had a very comfortable king size bed, a mini-refrigerator and a great rainfall shower. We slept well and were never disturbed by street noise. We had a delightful breakfast each day at the sister hotel a block or two away, but they offered to bring breakfast to us at Más Palomas. From the hotel we were able to walk to everything we wanted to go to, great restaurants, for example. It was our first visit to Mérida, but it won’t be our last. When we go again, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

El hotel es muy chiquito pero está bonito. La ubicación muy céntrica, lo cual está muy bien. El trato de los empleados es muy bueno, todos son muy amables. El tema es que no tiene cocina y tienes que programar la hora del desayuno, ya que lo traen desde el hotel matriz (casa de las palomas el cual está muy cerca) o en su defecto puedes ir caminando al hotel matriz a desayunar. Yo compré la tarifa que incluye el desayuno que consta de huevos, frijol y pan, pero la cantidad de comida no es para un adulto, si acaso será para un niño pequeño, ya que es muy poca la comida y uno se queda con hambre. Deberían dar café de cortesía, hoy día lo cobran. Sería bueno que el cuarto tenga un espejo de cuerpo completo. La televisión es complicadisima de manejar, un día le pedimos apoyo al chico de recepción y nos puso los canales y después lo intentamos y no pudimos de tantos pasos que que tienes que hacer. Por último sería bueno que le den una pintada al portón donde se guardan los autos, se ve muy descuidado. Si tuviera que escoger nuevamente eligiria hospedarme en el hotel Matriz: Casa de las Palomas, es más amplio en cuanto a instalaciones, ahí está el restaurante sin embargo si se sacrifica mucha privacidad. En general la experiencia fue buena más no maravillosa si consideramos que es más caro que el hotel matriz. Me hospede a finales de mayo del 2024.
