Das Hotel hat eine sensationelle Lage mit tollem Blick auf den See und Annecy! Wir hatten Zimmer 209 - sehr grosszügig mit grossem Bad und zusätzlichem Wohnraum und zweitem WC! Schmalem Balkon mit Traumblick! Sehr ruhig und Bett top! Spannteppich wurde während unserem viertägigem Aufenthalt nie gesaugt - wohl auch nicht vor unserer Ankunft! Das Hotel wird statt gelüftet mit Geschmacksmaschinen beduftet - ganz eklig! Sehr viel unproduktives Personal - steht rum! Denke der Laden wird wenig kostenbewusst geführt! Wellness eher dürftig! Restaurant habe ich separat bewertet..

Das Hotel verdient eine neue Bewertung, die anderen deutschen Bewertungen sind leider schon älter und leider auch nicht mehr richtig. Unser Zimmer in der 3.Etage war renoviert und alles war tipptopp. Wir hatten das Eckzimmer mit seeblick und parkblick und einen kleinen Balkon, ausreichend für ein paar gläser Wein. Das Personal ist freundlich, nett, hilfsbereit und zwar alle. Den früher beschriebenen Rothaarigen haben wir nicht gesehen. Das Valet Parking klappt super und wirklich zuvorkommend freundlich. Wir sind wöchentlich in 4+5 Sterne Hotels, können das glaube ich ganz gut beurteilen. Gefühlt ist es tatsächlich eher ein gutes 4Sterne, aber preislich liegt es ja auch in dieser Range. Restaurant werden wir erst nachher erleben, das hat ja auch eine eigene Bewertungsmöglichkeit. Aah, doch noch ein kleiner Minuspunkt:Die Preise für Getränke in der Bar und Terrasse sind echt gesalzen, 14 Euro pro Glas für einen no-name Wein, 20 Euro beim Glas Champagner für Standard, ohne Marke. Aber nochmals, abschließend: Das Haus hält alles was es verspricht, es passt alles, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !

Meiner Meinung nach ist es der richtige Ort, wenn Sie nach Annecy fahren. Das Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Personal ist ausgezeichnet. Das Hotel bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den See und die Zimmer sind makellos. Sie können Elektrofahrräder mieten und es gibt viele spezielle Radwege. Es gibt ein sehr gut geführtes Wellness-Spa und die Gäste haben Zugang zu einer privaten Promenade am Seeufer vor dem Hotel.

We were here for a wedding celebration. The positive aspects start with the great location and end with the excellent valet service. Rooms are awful, even dangerous, with the very low angular ceilings and beams, risking breaking your head. No control on air conditioning. Water dripping. Shower doesn’t stay up. WC flushing inadequate. Food - substandard. Staff response poor. Some even haughty. Wedding dinner card printed with gross errors. Summary: Five star pricing with two star quality.

Wallid, The gentleman who took charge of our Car and baggage made us feel like honoured guests. He made us feel welcomed and after a few minutes of conversation we made an instant connection that lasted until the following day when he again helped us with our car and bade us a heartfelt goodbye. This is the type of service that we received throughout our stay at this property.

Unbelievable service - fantastic location - couldn’t recommend this place anymore !!! The staff are so attentive and really care - nothing is too much - don’t look anywhere else just book this hotel !!! My room looked over the forest to the rear - next time I’ll be booking a lake view

Our stay was perfect. Such a beautiful location and hotel. We had a lovely forest view room and breakfast. We stayed for a week and the breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was amazing. The staff were so attentive and made our trip so special.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful hotel, very responsive and helpful staff (answered any query and booked all the activities/ restaurants we needed) and great location on the water. I recommend getting the water taxi to Annecy - very James Bond way of arriving!

Called ahead of booking to ask about a lake view room with balcony (images showed this), was told that all lake view rooms have balconies…. Arrived at the property and was “awarded” room 408 which has a very small window and no balcony, contacted staff to seek a remedy…. None available…. The room is about 15m2 (exc the very small bathroom and wc of which it is difficult to close the door once inside) and extremely drab with low level fittings….. the setting is amazing, if the “palace” did not have a pool and mediocre gym then the star rating in my opinion and based on other 5 star properties would at best be a strong 3 star, the problem is they charge high end prices (approx £1000 for 2 nights ro), the breakfast at €35 was as disapointing as our cell (room), 2 poached eggs, 1 roll, small bowl of muesli……. If you are going to annecy and you value location over service and quality of accomadation then the “palace” will tick your boxes, if however you like the extra little touches that high end 5 star properties at this price point should offer then maybe think twice, if nothing else you should ensure that 408 is not your room to avoid having your anniversary weekend ruined…. Well done Palace de Menthon you will for the wrong reasons live long in the memory !! (Ps don’t dare ask to park your vehicle out front next to the Aston martin or Porsches the look of contempt you may receive is not very pleasant
