Yes it’s out of town. If this is no great for you, pay the extra and go to the centre. Look on a map, it’s not difficult! It suited us down to the ground, the few bars etc around are truly for the Portuguese and not the tourist. There is a Metro a short walk away, then you can travel anywhere. Great breakfast, likes the Turkish bath etc and the pool is fun albeit too small to do lengths. Good value for money, would stay here again.

Hotel am Rande einer sehr lauten National, aber die Lage ist sehr praktisch, um auf den Flughafen zu reisen, die 10 Minuten ist und Parkplatz ist kostenfrei. Das Personal war sehr lächelnd und sehr empfangbar. Wir mussten um 4 Uhr morgens für unser Flugzeug abfahren und sie haben uns trotz der Stunde einen Kaffee, Orangensaft und Hauskoch vor dem Abflug angeboten. Das Zimmer ist ”in seinem Saft”, aber sehr sauber und mit einem Balkon, der auf dem Pool steht. Das Abendmenü ist sehr komplett und zu einem erschwinglichen Preis.

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Klassisches Businesshotel mit schönen Zimmern, sehr freundlichem Personal (Concierge, Rezeption, Servicepersonal), gutes WLAN und für mich überraschend gutes Mittagsbuffet. Zum Frühstück gibt es eine große Auswahl, mit dem Taxi ist man in knapp 10 Minuten in der Altstadt. Wer schwimmen will, kann dies entweder im hoteleigenen Hallenbad oder im Außenpool, der sich im 15. Stock (inkl. Bar) befindet.

Hostel mit einer Lage von 10. Alles in sehr guter Zustand, sehr neu. Komfortable und funktionale Zimmer: Das Bett hat ein Garten für Ihre Privatsphäre und schützt Sie vor Licht, Schüssel, USB und Licht, das Sie anschalten können, wenn Sie es brauchen. Sehr gemütliche Gemeindebereiche. Die Menschen sind sehr bedienend, aufmerksam und angenehm! Dinge zu verbessern: Einige Grunddienstleistungen sind bezahlt als Dusche- oder Taschentuch. Sie würden gerne Süßigkeiten für den Kofferkasten bereitstellen.

Porto has always been rated highly so was a little concerned that the Novotel was on the other side of the Douro River. Quickly dismissed on arrival when we were greeted at reception by Aderito Diaspora. A most charming man who made every one signing in to the hotel feel very special - being multilingual helps. Free with advice on what to see, what and where to eat and the best places for shopping. A trip into Porto was a little as €4 and never more than €10 and this included a ride to beautiful shopping complex of El Conte Ingles. So leaving the hustle and bustle of Oporto to the calm of Afurada was a plus. The suggestion to walk down to the quaint fishing village of San Pedro with an Uber to take us back was greatly appreciated as we were able to see the Uber coming right up to our restaurant table. All hotels should have an Aderito Diaspora.

Die Preise für Porto Hotels sind ziemlich teuer. Auf unserem kürzlich erfolgten Besuch beschließen wir, ein paar Tage in diesem Hotel zu verbringen, so um die off-center Attraktionen zu sehen.Der Zimmerpreis war sehr gerecht. Das Hotel ist ziemlich modern und auch einfach. Schöne Zimmer und sehr sauber. Das komplimentäre kontinentale Frühstück wird im Buffetstil serviert. Es gibt eigentlich keine echte Bar, sondern eine ”Bar-Ecke”, die für ein paar Bier oder einen Wein OK ist. Da wir ein Auto hatten, können wir nicht zu Transportverbindungen kommentieren.

Das Hotelumfeld ist gut, der Verkehr ist bequem. Das Frühstück ist auch gut, der Preis ist sehr hoch, die Nacht ist selten sehr ruhig, die Service-Einstellung des Personals der Rezeption ist sehr gut und es gibt Gelegenheit, zu erleben.
