To be honest, I was skeptical about this one. I needed to book the hotel last minute (like literally the previous night), so seeing an old-looking building (probably constructed in the 1980s) was not really encouraging BUT I wanted to see Matera, so I went ahead. The hotel surprised me and by a lot. First of all - yes, the building is old BUT all inside is renovated, so all is great. The rooms are good in size (not too small at all, just right) and everything is very clean. You have a full minibar if you want something and the hotel has a working restaurant and staff at reception 24/7. The breakfast is phenomenal (like, literally anything any traveler could want) and the staff are helpful and friendly. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Basically, there is no other hotel in Matera which is closer to the Sassi and the historical center. You just need 5 minutes of slow walking (entrance to the old town square is just behind the hotel :) ) and you are at the viewpoint and the cistern. There is a vending machine for snacks and drinks just less than 10 minutes away down the street from the hotel (in the old town) and any sights and amazing places to eat are within the same 5-10 minute distance. If you want to see the historical center of Matera, this is the place to stay (you won't regret it, trust me!). The hotel is very popular with Italians visiting Matera, so keep that in mind and if you are not travelling solo, like me, better book in advance :) The prime location comes with a single downside and a few things to consider (listing them here as they are just things to keep in mind and not something that is a huge issue) - the proximity to the Sassi means you will be quite far away from the bus station (3 kilometers) and the train station (1.5 kilometers). The distance is not that much BUT it is an uphill slope 90% of the time, so if you have a lot of luggage, better take a taxi. I loved it, so there is nothing I can put my finger at as a bad things, really, I just want to continue what I started above with the things you should keep in mind when visiting. If you come by car, make sure to notify the hotel in advance, as it is within a restricted parking area and parking lots are limited. Also be aware that the hotel is busy (as I said, very popular with Italians visiting) and check-in starts at 15.00, so if you come in earlier than that, you may need to wait. The staff would do anything they can to accommodate you early, BUT if you plan on arriving before noon, better notify them, to get your room ready. The hotel also have luggage storage, just so you know. Did I say I loved it? Just to repeat I can't wait to return!

Mit No Time To Die bis zu einem April 2020 Freigabedatum, die in die Aktion eintreten wollen, möchten vielleicht dieses Hotel als perfekte Basis aussehen - fünf Minuten vom Tower und Duomo und dem unglaublichen Motorrad-Stumpf und zehn Minuten von der Autojagd Lage und das der Platz am Ende des Anhängers. Unglaublich sauber, komfortabel mit freundlichem Personal mit einem großen Frühstück (erstaunliches Kaffee!) das Hotel scheint von der Innenstadt einer Kirche zu erscheinen. Terrible Lage. Diejenigen, die hoffen, die Ponte Aquedotto (die Brücke springt von Anfang der Katzejagd) zu sehen, müssen 20 Minuten nach Gravina in Puglia, eine nahe gelegene Stadt reisen. Gehen Sie nicht am Montag, da alles geschlossen ist. Kosten etwa 70 Euro pro Taxi oder 5 Euro pro Bus (sechs Busse pro Tag und sechs Rückkehr) die Brücke kann in einem Morgen gesehen werden, so empfehlen Sie Basing in Matera und eine 3 -4 er reist nach Gravina. Insgesamt ist dieses Hotel perfekt für diejenigen, die die Filmpositionen sehen wollen - 10/10 für Reinigung, Komfort und Freundlichkeit. Eine wertvolle Besserung von 007 selbst.

My wife and I stayed here for one night to see Matera. The hotel, our room, and amenities were all outstanding. A particular compliment to Rocco at the reception desk who gave us great advice for our next stop in Bari and Linda at the bar who was very gracious. The location is perfect to walk and see the sights of Matera. I agree that using the hotel’s parking arrangement outside of Sassi with the accompanying shuttle is the best way to proceed.

Wir waren im Corte San Pietro Anfang September 2022 für drei Übernachtungen im Rahmen einer insgesamt dreiwöchigen Italien-Rundreise. Von den insgesamt sieben verschiedenen Unterkünften, die wir innerhalb dieser Reise hatten, war das Corte San Pietro eine der allerbesten. Es ist - im positivsten Sinne - ein echtes Haus für Gäste. Wir hatten eine Junior-Suite gebucht, die ansprechend ausgestattet und vom - zauberhaften - kleinen Innenhof des Hotels aus ebenerdig über eine zweiflügelige Glastür erreichbar war. Vor den Zimmern stehen bequeme Sessel und Tische, so dass man die Möglichkeit hat, jederzeit im Tagesablauf dort Platz zu nehmen, auf Wunsch ein Getränk zu sich zu nehmen oder ”einfach” nur zu entspannen. Zugleich entsteht hier eine unaufdringlich kommunikative Atmosphäre. Unterhalb des Hotels befinden sich mehrere Zisternen, die z. T. mit Kunstwerken ausgestattet sind. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit Live-Musikbegleitung, das am Tisch serviert wird. Kaffee, der im Tagesablauf bestellt wurde, wurde sehr großzügig nicht berechnet. Das im Sasso Caveoso befindliche Hotel ist für die Besichtigung des ”alten” Matera absolut perfekt gelegen. Das Auto kann in einem privaten Parkhaus im ”neuen” Matera abgestellt werden, das auch einen Shuttleservice zum Hotel anbietet. Seinen besonderen Flair erhält das Corte San Pietro - neben der wunderschönen baulichen Gestaltung und der für Matera-Besuche perfekten Lage - durch die äußerst freundlich zugewandte persönliche Betreuung, die man hier als Gast erfährt; das war unter den durchweg sehr positiven Erfahrungen, die wir insoweit während unseres Italien-Urlaubs gemacht haben, sozusagen ein herausragendes I-Tüpfelchen. Schon bei der Anreise sehr freundliche und hilfreiche Kommunikation über E-Mail und WhatsApp (ein großes Dankeschön gilt hier vor allem Anne Demay), die vor Ort in einer zugewandten Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeitenden ihre Fortsetzung fand. Das Hotel ist inhabergeführt und das Inhaber-Ehepaar stets im Haus präsent sowie um einen angenehmen Gesprächskontakt mit den Gästen bemüht. Wir haben uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

The staff was incredible. The b&b is run by a family - we met the mom and daughter upon cHeck in, and they were the friendliest, most helpful staff we have met. The property is very centrally located, very clean and modern. We were just a 5 min walk to the center of matera, but just off the main road so it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms are all different colors! We throughly enjoyed our stay. Rosella and her mom were super nice! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and convenient location in matera.

I stayed here one night with the tour group. My room was 208 and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was different. They had breads and pastries on the tables and would serve you coffee. I asked if they had eggs and was told they would come right out, But I didn't see any place for the eggs. They came out with about 12 oval dishes with 3 pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs, but the eggs looked like they were placed in the dish and then baked. They had a 'skin' on them. Maybe they sat out in the air for a few hours and had dried out. Three people were on my table and we got 3 dishes of eggs, so we each took one. The dishes were extremely hot. As more and more people came for breakfast, we were a group of 35, it was announced that only 3 dishes per table would be provided and we should share. OOPS. Because we early birds assumed one dish per person, there were not enough eggs for the later people. They had to make more eggs, but ran out of bacon! Was this because we were there off season? because everyone is trying to recover from the pandemic? because this region of Italy is cheap? because the tour company got a 'deal”? The gardens and grounds were beautiful and relaxing.

We arrived by car at this new, modern hotel. We could easily park the car in one of the free parking spaces in the fenced area in front of the impressive building. At the reception we were welcomed by a lady who was top friendly and super professional at the same time. When we checked in, we immediately felt warmly welcome. We were given valuable tips for our stay in the city, and we were also helped to book a table for dinner when seats in the restaurants were scarce because of the weekend. The spacious rooms have a creative design. At the same time, they are very homely. Everything is absolutely clean. The beds are comfortable with pleasant pillows. Air conditioning and rain shower are of course also part of the great equipment. At breakfast, we were equally welcomed by brilliant staff who complemented the rich, high-quality buffet with perfect service. We will be back!

Ein Hotel mit Lobby und sehr schönen Gemeindebereichen; komfortable, saubere Zimmer, die Aufmerksamkeit auf einige Details (wie etwa, dass die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert, ein wenig laut). In sehr freundlicher Rezeption und aufmerksam zu unseren Zweifeln. Die Zeit war nicht in der Lage, die Herberge zu benutzen, da die Nutzungszeit begrenzt ist (10 bis 19 h), das Wasser war warm berührt. Matera bleibt 15 Minuten im Auto, das Hotel hat Parkplatz.
