The hotel terrace is stunning. The staff is always helpful, especially with parking. The hotel is in a ZTL zone, so you have to drive around a lot to find somewhere to park and then to the parking lot. It would be nice if the hotel sent customers a suitable route with street names in advance so they don't run into roadblocks using their GPS. But this inconvenience is completely compensated by the hotel's location. We will book again."

Then, the downsides: the B&B is located in a small courtyard, crowded with cars and bicycles, and the walls dividing the rooms are just a few centimeters thick, making any sound a nuisance. Finally, it may sound strange, but breakfast is an extra. We're talking a few euros, so it's fine (there's an excellent pastry shop nearby, by the way!), but I've never seen a B&B without breakfast."

The breakfast is decent but nothing exceptional. Unfortunately the wi-fi did not work at all. However, a special mention goes to the staff who have always been very kind and professional."

Unser Zimmer mit Blick auf den Garten war sehr ruhig und hell. Das Auto konnten wir gegen eine Gebühr im Hof parken. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend."

"Wir haben eine Nacht bei dieser Unterkunft geblieben. Zimmer 186, Mansard. Zur Ankunft wurden wir von einem starken Duft aus dem Badezimmer begrüßt, verbessert durch die Ausführung des Ventils. Tafel mit Wasser gefangen. Reinigungsservice, diskrete. Die schlimmste Überraschung war, dass sie sich bei der Rückkehr ins Zimmer spät Abends die ganze Nacht mit starkem Lärm/Röntgen aus den Kabeln über dem Bettkopf (wodurch eine Deckung nicht sichtbar ist) ergeben hat. Es war ein Albtraum, weil wir den Kühlschrank sogar ausschalten, weil es auch ein Tiergeräusch machte... aber wir haben das Problem nicht gelöst. ... wir haben das heute Morgen auf der Rezeption gemeldet. Die Reaktion auf die Meldung war am Rande der Unverschämtheit. Der massive Fremdenverkehr ist wahrscheinlich über uns... der italienische Touristen, der sich der Alternativen des Territoriums bewusst ist, findet besser. Aber deshalb müssen wir ehrlich die Einrichtungen bewerten... weil Urlaub die Ausgabe des Geldes ist, das jeder Reisende gut ausgegeben hat. Wenn wir dann über die Struktur sprechen wollen, dann ist der Aufzug ein Ladegerät und wenn Sie uns dann eintreten, müssen Sie bitten, dass er nicht auf dem dritten Aufprall aufhört. Die Treppenschritte, die mit einem Kleid geklebt werden, die Sie fragen, ob Sie Ihren Weg halten (mit den noch gut sichtbaren Werftschriften). Wenn Sie diese Struktur verbessert haben, würden sie zu einem schönen historischen Zentrum in Mantova machen."

"A perfect location, in the heart of the city, an old “palazzo” “restructured” as the Italians know so well how to do, around a pleasant patio (too bad that not all the plants are natural!). It is an annex of the nearby Hotel dei Gonzaga where breakfast is taken (a plentiful and varied buffet). Friendly welcome, comfortable room, minimalist decor but nothing is missing. Ideal for discovering the beauties of the city and beyond: if you are by car, the hotel has an underground car park connected by a lift."

"We stayed in the Isabella d'Este room on the second floor of the deluxe building (2 adults, 2 children aged 11 and 13, and a golden retriever). The room has a beautiful lake view and is equipped with a double bed and two single beds. The bedroom and private bathroom are spacious and comfortable. Everything is spotless. We were provided with a set of clean (and bagged) towels every morning, and the bathroom had everything we needed. The location is strategic: very close to the historic center, the lakefront, and all the main attractions, as well as being adjacent to a convenient paid parking lot (€6 per day). The breakfast buffet was delicious: sweet baked goods, fresh fruit, and freshly squeezed juice. The owners were very kind, smiling, and welcoming, even with our golden retriever. We had a wonderful stay."
