Mercure is a great hotel with excellent staff. They are friendly and professional. Parking fee of EU28/day is a high but reasonable. Slight downside is construction noise opposite during July 2024

В этой сетке бывают отели и лучше, например в Мюнхене!!!! Явное не соответствие цены и качества! Если бы цена была бы поадекватнее, была бы твердая четверка, а так 4 с минусом.

Das Hotel liegt zu Fuss ca. 20‘ vom Bahnhof Part Dieu entfernt. Für einen Städtetrip zentral gelegen. Mein Zimmer zur Seitenstrasse war sehr angenehm, kaum Lärm und sauber. Das Treppenhaus habe ich einmal benutzt, es riecht überall nach Zigaretten und z.T. liegen Stummel herum, es ist zudem sehr beengend und der Ausgang führt über einen Wohnhauszugang. Das Hotel bietet viele Zimmer und wechselnde Gäste. Das Frühstück habe ich nicht in Anspruch genommen, es gibt in der Umgebung zu ähnlichen Preisen genügend Möglichkeiten. Ein Supermarkt befindet sich gleich vis-à-vis. Die Minibar wird töglich mit Wasser aufgefüllt. Die Rezeption ist sehr minimalistisch, es fehlte nur noch der elektronische Check-in. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr reserviert und kurz angebunden, man fühlt sich als Single-Reisende nicht willkommen. Beim Check-out erkundigte ich mich, weshalb mir ein Frühstück verrechnet wurde. Als Antwort bekam ich von einem männlichen Angestellten „Das ist nur der Rechnungsentwurf, keine Panik.“. Alles in Allem für die Lage ok, ich werde jedoch beim nächsten Mal eine andere Unterkunft berücksichtigen.

We stayed here for four nights in August 2024 and felt very comfortable. The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the railway station (Part-Dieu) and about 10 minutes from the main shopping centre on the peninsula between the two rivers. From there it's another 10-minute walk to the old town. On the corner across the road from the hotel is a medium-sized supermarket and there are several restaurants in surrounding streets. The hotel has a nice foyer/bar area. The bar serves drinks and, in terms of food, pizza and a few other light snacks. However, Le Garage is the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't use it but it seemed to provide everything. Our room was large with the usual amenities. The wifi worked well, and there was no noise. For a long-ish, four-night stay we felt very comfortable here because of the location and the size of our room. We would be happy to return.

4 yıldızlı bir otelin sadece havuz olması ve odasının genişliği kısımları tutuyordu. 4 yıldızlı bir otelden beklentim, odada terlik, saç kremi, makyaj pamuğu gibi malzemelerin olmasıdır. Terlik istediğimde benden terlik başı 5€ ücret istendi. Eğer daha fazla ücret ödeyip Mercure'de kalıyorsanız orası İbis değildir. Kahvaltı 20€, ama her şeyi yesek 20€ etmez. All Accor üyesi olduğum için bu otelleri seçiyorum ama bundan sonra İbisler de kalmak daha iyi. Eğer kalite hep düşecekse onlar da kaybeder.

This is a very average 4 star hotel and would rate it a 3 star hotel. The positives - newly refurbished restaurant/ foyer and bar area. Good breakfast and wide range of drinks The negatives - location is definitely downtown. If you want the experience of the beauty of Lyon stay closer to the old town. - no conditioner or amenities such as ear buds. No where in the room did it say whether or not you can get this from reception so we ended up having to buy things for the stay - no complimentary water (every other hotel has provided this) - paper cups, not even glass - average room. Whilst it may be a little bigger than some other hotels it was very drab and needs an uplift. - no PowerPoint in bathroom. There is an electric razor outlet that will turn on a hair straightener but it does not heat it up so you have to use the hair dryer etx in the bedroom - terrible A/c (but thankful to have a window to open. This of course meant the room was super noisy with construction noise and traffic We were part of a tour so did not have the option to change hotels and unfortunately they were full booked so we couldn’t get an upgrade. At the time of our stay the nightly cost was €215 which was a complete rip off. The five star hotel across the bridge was around €250 and much much more opulent

I had a pleasant stay recently at the Mercure Lyon Saxe Lafayette hotel. It's about a 20-minute walk from the Part Dieu train station and a short walk to the bridges on the Rhone side of Presque'Ile. The room was quiet and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was reasonably extensive. Using the hotel as a base, I was able to walk to most of the sites I wanted to visit in Lyon, including--via the funicular--those in the Vieux Lyon section on the west side of the Saone. I used the fitness room during my stay. Not all the equipment was in working order (some better than others), and it was only open until 9 pm. All in all, a nice experience...

Beware extra charges for breakfast you never ate!!! They insist on quick check out and want you to drop your key in a box on the reception desk. We did this to our detriment. We were charged not only our own city tax but also another person’s tax and breakfast bill. The hotel won’t answer my call….so much for reception being available. Won’t answer emails either. Charged $1000 security deposit which they also haven’t returned. Hotel is tired and run down. Cleaning staff do a great job with what they have. Reasonable location between Westfield and the old town. Walkable

Very central hotel with friendly staff. The room was good overall, the bed was lovely and comfortable and the room offered a large tv, however the rainfall shower head was poor with very little water coming through and therefore we had to use the handheld shower head. Valet parking was expensive but convenient.

Spent 5 nights here while attending a conference and everything was excellent. Beds are really comfortable, rooms a good size, staff all very friendly and helpful and can speak English. Restaurant dinner is basic but good, and a helpful option if you don’t want to eat out. Quiet setting but close to everything. Would book again.

we stayed for 8 days for a conference in Lyon and we had best of it 😊 the personnel are very nice and helpful. breakfast is amazing and the pool was refreshing on hot summer days even the restaurant food is good 👍🏻 I will definitely come back again. highly recommended
