Awful. We were greeted at reception which was clean and decorated. We were then taken to a building two doors down which was filthy. Smelly, old red ripped carpets in the hall and stained walls. The stairs were incredibly narrow and steep and dangerous. The front door didn't close properly and on a busy main street in Central London this was worrying. Our room was filthy. Stained carpet, broken skirting boards and a filthy stained bathroom ceiling. The air con didn't work so the only option was to sleep with windows open with bars and restaurants below us, so we didn't sleep. Our room also had a random door to an adjoining room which was locked but quite concerning. The shower didn't have a door. The integral doors were old and filthy. The morning of check out (check out at 11) our door was knocked at 9.30 asking if I could close our windows so they could be cleaned - this should be the least of managements concerns! I was going to complain and request a different room upon our return at 8.30 that evening however nobody was at reception, it was closed - pretty poor. The only positive thing I can say is the towels and bed sheets were clean. Everything else was disgusting. I booked this for my partners birthday too... embarrassing. Do not stay here!

I stayed there twice already, and this will be my base for future stays in London. It is a great value for money. The location is fantastic. The apartments are compact but clean and comfortable, with everything that is needed. The staff is so nice and friendly, very helpful. And you can store your luggage there.
