Absolutely appalling stay. Customer service practically non-existent, problem with shower in first room, stuck on scalding hot, then maintenance attended the next day but forgot to turn the water to the room back on. Only found this out very late on the night so had to be moved to another room at midnight meaning we had to pack everything away (we were staying for 5 nights), then next day the room cards wouldn't work and had to be re-cut. The coffee machine also leaked water all over the worktop. The room cards didn't work again the next day, then the following day the shower wouldn't stop dripping, and again the next day the room card wouldn't work again. Customer service just said, "sorry this just happens, usually when you keep your card near electrics" (the room cards were in an RFID wallet shielded from electrics, so I very much doubt this was the case). One of the 2 lifts has been out of action all week meaning it takes ages to get a lift, and when I took the stairs, I couldn't access the floor the one night (as the room key wouldn't let me onto the floor) so having walked up 3 flights of stairs (I like to try to keep fit if I can) I had to walk all the way back down, passing the manager on the way who simply said, "why did you take the stairs?" I have been totally disgusted by the attitude of staff at this hotel who simply don't seem to care how bad my stay has been. The one person I spoke to simply said, "well it's not my fault". I've stayed in MANY premierinn hotels around the country many times (including this one) on business and I can honestly say this is the worst experience I've ever had. In fact I can confidently say I have been treated better in many low-budget hotels, where at least the staff there seems to be grateful of my custom. It may be time to change where I stay in future. If I could give this place minus stars, I would.
