Avari Apartments - Winchester Collection

I'm so pleased I chose to stay at Avari apartment. The location is perfect close to the shops of Pimlico, the tube and to Victoria. The apartment was clean, warm and well designed. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend Avari apartment and I would love the chance to stay there again.

Appalling Service and Substandard Accommodation – Avoid at All Costs” I stayed at the property on 17 Winchester Street, London, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Despite raising a formal complaint about numerous issues during my stay, I have yet to hear back from the management. Adding insult to injury, they emailed me this morning requesting a review and thanking me for choosing them, highlighting their apparent inability to address serious concerns or manage their administration effectively. Here’s why I strongly advise against booking this property: 1. Misrepresentation of the Property’s Quality The property was advertised as “luxurious,” but this was far from reality. The décor was tired, the walls and skirting boards were scuffed, and the fittings were of poor quality. Dirty towels and dressing gowns further detracted from the advertised standard. The property fell far short of what any reasonable person would consider luxurious. 2. Appalling Hygiene Standards The level of cleanliness was unacceptable. I found a dirty towel, stained dressing gowns, and even a washcloth containing someone else’s hair. To make matters worse, black mould in the shower posed a potential health hazard. For the price and description of the accommodation, this was inexcusable. 3. Facilities Not Fit for Purpose The shower was completely unusable during my stay due to a power issue, leaving me without access to a basic necessity. This caused significant frustration and ruined the stay entirely. 4. Disruption to Stay On the morning of 21/12/2024, a plumber unexpectedly arrived at 8 a.m., waking me up and disrupting my plans for a relaxing morning. The plumber stayed in the apartment for nearly an hour, significantly invading my privacy and freedom of movement. 5. Non-Responsive Management Despite submitting a detailed complaint with photo and video evidence, I have yet to receive a response. The fact that they’ve managed to send an automated review request instead highlights their lack of care and poor administrative processes. Conclusion This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. The combination of misrepresentation, hygiene issues, non-functioning facilities, and poor customer service made for a stressful and disappointing stay. Until management addresses these glaring shortcomings, I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Apartment was great, very clean and great amenities, Only a couple problems is downstairs is doing some kind of building work so lots of banging this morning and the whole apartment smells of strong smoke this morning, especially the communal hallway and main bathroom where smoke is getting in though the vents, which is very hard to stay in the apartment with as we have kids and are none smokers ourselves. Would we stay again, probably no for those reasons

Avari Apartments focuses on providing a luxury experience for their guests and it shows through the updated kitchen and bath as well as the small details that other property owners don't usually focus on such as quality bed linens, bath towels... and even quality coffee and appliances! The check-in process and access to the property/unit were very easy. Avari were such a delight to work with. They were very professional, responsive and easy to talk to. They even sent a note wishing me luck on running the London Marathon! For me, I was sold on the hospitality with the small details: the customer service and the details in the unit. I'll definitely look at staying at one of their units again when traveling back to London!

De foto's van het appartement zijn prachtig, de werkelijkheid was een teleurstelling. Voor 5 volwassenen is het ook te klein. Beetje suf dat het toiletpapier op was op de eerste dag en we de volgende dag 'wel' 3 rollen kregen. Ook was één vd twee douches stuk op dag 2, dit is niet verholpen. Misschien dat er daarom alvast afgemeten handdoeken lagen. Als je zoveel pretenties hebt, zorg dan alles klopt. Zo waren de waterkoker en het broodrooster niet schoon. Dat is onnodig en onprofessioneel.
