I honestly don’t get the bad reviews. I stayed here for the Liverpool v Leverkusen game. This place is exactly what I expected. The negatives are it’s basic, looks a bit worn and directly outside was a burger van. Positives The room was clean, warm, the beds comfy and shower for the morning hot!! It’s opposite the 12th Man pub and about 100 meters from the stadium. If you any to watch a game, have a burger and go to bed and leave it’s perfect!! And the price was very reasonable. It’s not the Ritz but doesn’t claim to be. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Def staying again.

The condition of the property was extremely poor. It was so uninhabitable that my engineer refused to remain in the room, which is quite telling given that he typically stays away for extended periods. There were makeshift wooden supports under the bed, broken tiles, a lack of cleanliness, no curtains in the room, and the front door was incessantly slamming due to the comings and goings of guests. I reached out to the property management, and while they offered an alternative room, it would not be available until the following day, which was not a feasible solution for us. Consequently, we had to secure accommodations at another hotel, and we did not receive any refund from the property. Additionally, they prevented me from posting a review, necessitating my contact with *********** to share my experience.

Friendly staff that are very approachable and chatty, easy check in and check out and a great view of Anfield stadium from the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its cheap price and affordability when trying to access Anfield stadium.

This review is based on an extremely short visit due to checking straight back out! The place is dated and feels grubby. There was a kettle in the room but no cups so what's the point of that? I thought I could maybe get a cup from the shared kitchen, but none to be found. When I spoke to the only person onsite (a cleaner) she gave me two cups, tea and coffee from another room. One of the cups was filthy. The "breakfast included" consists of a loaf of bread and a couple of packs of cereal. To top it all, for us we had to leave within about an hour of arrival, the products used to clean were so overpowering we started to actually cough from the fumes. My advice is to stay well clear of this place.

I was really concerned about staying in this hotel - we only booked it for the sheer convenience of being right outside the stadium after the Taylor Swift concert. I’m far from a snob but I do have expectations of a certain standard, especially when paying close to £400 for the night. The building is evidently very run down and in need of some TLC, but I think they know that and don’t try to sugarcoat it. We had a double room with a private bathroom, very clean, no bad smells of smoke like I was worried about, bright and airy. We took our own pillows with us which turned out to be a godsend because you are only provided with one each and they are flat as a pancake. It did say in the welcome book you could request more but the owner wasn’t around and since we came prepared it wasn’t an issue but if you like your comfort, take your own. The bed was a standard double but surprisingly comfortable. Toilet sink and shower all in working order and good decent sized towels provided. Communal area for tea/coffee, toast and cereal which we didn’t use but handy to have. We had a fridge in our room too which was a welcome amenity because it was a warm afternoon/evening. The owners couldn’t do enough for you, really easy check in and check out, our room was ready 2 hours early. They made sure guests had parking at the rear of the building. Note - on match/concert days their main carpark is released to a burger van so can’t be used - didn’t cause too much of an issue but just something to be mindful of, the rear only fits 3 cars and even then it’s a squeeze. No noise at all, slept really well and would use it again for a concert. Recommendation - a mirror in the bedroom would be really helpful, there was only one in the bathroom and it was small so couldn’t see how you looked before leaving the room. And a lamp would give a cosy effect, but they are not dealbreakers.

The guest house is quite nice. Rooms are very spacious shame there was not a wardrobe in our room. Cereal, tea coffee & bread provided for breakfast. Over all pleasant. Oh we had a view of the the best stadium in the world Anfield home of the best team ever Liverpool FC
