This is my second use of Hotel Diamond. In my first review I regarded it as ”exceptional,” and there is no change in that evaluation! Another great stay. Since my 2021 visit, they have opened up a breakfast buffet on the fourth floor (complimentary). It's excellent. And the view . . . the only place I know of where you can get a glimpse of two grand colonial courtyards (of convents/monasteries), along with a wonderful cluster of colonial church domes. Just a great hotel--friendly staff, efficient and well-cared for, updated rooms, superb location. A winner of winners!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Lima und sind vom Sheraton restlos begeistert. Der Service und der Komfort waren herausragend, Das Restaurant war sehr gut und der Service in diesem waren exzellent. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns darüber hinaus der tolle Service eines jeden einzelnen Mitarbeiters. Die Servicemanagerin Frau Yenikhaa und ihrem Team hiermit ein herzliches Dankeschön. Der Chef der Rezeption Herr Ronald, so wie all seine Mitarbeiter/innen, ganz besonders Frau Carol, die uns stets mit einem strahlenden Lächeln (trotz Maske) begrüßte und uns bei allem, was wir benötigten, behilflich war ein Dankeschön. Sie organisierte für uns, unter anderem einen COVID Test, der im Hotel auf dem Zimmer vorgenommene wurde. (wir brauchten den Test für unsere Weiterreise in die USA). Der Aufenthalt selbst war außerordentlich gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Reservé 2 habitaciones standard para año nuevo 2024, una con cama matrimonial para mi hijo y para mí, y la otra con 2 camas. Y al momento de la reserva especifiqué que necesitaba que estén una al lado de la otra, o exactamente al frente. Cuando hice check in, fuimos a las habitaciones y la mía era cama doble y encima no estaban al frente, felizmente la señora de recepción pudo solucionar pero estuvimos bastante rato esperando. Luego, a las 5y30pm aprox llamo a Room Service para pedir la cena de mi hijo, me contesta un chico y me toma el pedido. Pasa 1 HORA, llamo para saber cuánto más iba a demorar y un señor de restaurante de muy mala manera me dice que no tiene ningún pedido y que no era su problema porque él acababa de entrar a turno. Me pareció una pésima atención y pésima forma de resolver un problema. Obviamente tuve que volver a hacer el pedido y esperar más, pero dejó mucho que desear la respuesta de su personal del restaurante e hizo que me amargue el momento. Finalmente, en recepción a la hora del check in preguntamos si Room Service atendería normal hasta las 11pm, nos dijo que sí. Cuando nos fueron a dejar la comida de mi hijo, volví a preguntar al mozo y me dijo que ya no tomaban pedidos porque estaban con la cena buffet. Entonces nos iban a dejar sin cena a mi familia y a mí, ya que al estar con un niño pequeño él ya iba a dormir y yo no iba a poder salir al restaurante. Después de insistir, accedió a tomarnos el pedido pero tenía que ser en ese momento (siendo 7pm, comida llegó 7y20) y lamentablemente tuve que cenar comida fría ya que recién pude hacerlo después de dormir a mi hijo a las 8y30pm aprox. Realmente no volvería al hotel por tener tantas malas experiencias en 1 solo día de estadía.

Summary: a very good hotel that gets its core mission right, with minor room for improvement to get a perfect score next time. The good: Staff: all staff I encountered from security at the front door to the check-in and restaurant/bar staff were excellent. All FOH staff spoke good to excellent English. A special thanks to Diego at the front desk for being especially friendly and going above and beyond to help me manage multiple reservations I had booked for this property, allowing me to stay in my original room and not have to check out and back in. Thanks also to Henry from the bar/restaurant for his warm and friendly service that made me feel especially welcome and valued. The room: what a fantastic room. Hotel is relatively new and as you’d expect the room is modern, with a seperate desk space for working and plentiful AC and USB charging points for your devices. A very modern bathroom with high pressure rainfall shower and seperate toilet behind a floor to ceiling frosted door. Food/drink: food and drink was excellent, plenty of local and western choices. Not local or authentic by any means but the ‘Texas Burger’ and ‘BBQ Wings’ wouldn’t be out of place at any high quality US diner. Location: hotel is in a safe, quiet pocket of Miraflores within walking distance to the beach, Kennedy park, Lacomar mall and Barranco. There are bus stops nearby if you wish to go to the Lima historic centre. The bad: The bedding: this seems like such an oversight, but the bedding was terrible. Tiny small pillows that are reminiscent of the ones you get given on airplanes and a scratchy blanket that brought back memories from school camp. This seems like an easy one to fix. Noisy: half way through my stay I got some noisy neighbours in the next room and you could hear their conversations clear as day through the wall. So be aware so this may be an issue. Fortunately in my case they went quiet at night time and my sleep wasn’t impacted. Smoking: while this is a smoke free property, the smoking area is right by the front door so you often have to walk through a plume of smoke to enter the property. Please consider moving the smoking area to the other side of the driveway. Conclusion: A very good hotel. If I return to Limq, this would likely be my first choice. This property is better than many Hilton (main brand) I’ve stayed at.

Das Hotel selbst ist nicht 7 Sterne, aber es ist die Leute, die dort arbeiten, die es so schön macht. Haben nicht schlechte Erfahrung hier, meine Frau und ich geschah zu sein in Peru für eine Beerdigung und ich hatte ein Gesundheitsproblem aufgrund des emotionalen Stresses. Santiago aus der Rezeption war schnell, um die Krankenwagen zu rufen und sie konnten die Situation reparieren. Auch wenn Freunde und Familie zu Besuch kamen, habe ich Freunden der Pflegerin Carlos Abanto, sehr guter Mann, er verdient alle Komplimente, super professionell. Wegen der Menschen wie sie beabsichtige ich, zurückzukommen. Auch Zarai Chileno (Wächterin) war nett und Jose der Kerl, der mein Zimmer gereinigt hatte. Mit diesem Personal und Lage versichern ich Ihnen viel zu rücken Geschäfts und viele gute Jahre zu kommen. Danke Dazzel in San Isidro!

Wir sind um 1:30 Uhr in Lima gekommen und mussten in einem Hotel in der Nähe des Flughafens bleiben, da wir nach der Ankunft in 12 Stunden nach Cusco fliegen wollten. Das Hotel hat uns einen Shuttle angeboten, der uns vom Flughafen zum Hotel entnommen hat. Die Kosten waren nur 30 Solen (weniger als $10 USD). Das Zimmer war geräumig und hatte die wesentlichen Dinge, die wir in einem Hotel brauchen. Ich wachte um 6 Uhr am Morgen, hörte einen Roster. Ich werde ehrlich sein, das Hotel ist in Callao, das ist nicht das schönste Gebiet von Lima. Am Morgen, als wir auscheckten, wollten wir in die Plaza de Armas de Lima-Gebiete. Unser Hotel-Vorsitz-Botschafter war so nett - sie wartete außerhalb des Hotels mit uns, um sicherzustellen, dass wir geschützt waren und ständig mein Telefon überprüft, um sicherzustellen, dass wir in die richtige Uber. Leider spreche ich kein Spanisch, aber ich verstehe ihre Geste, als sie sagte, dass mein Telefon gefangen werden könnte. Ich wünsche mir, dass ich ihren Namen habe. Als wir zurück zum Hotel zum Flughafen kamen, hielt unser Hotelmanager unser Gepäck in einem geschlossenen Zimmer und blieb noch einmal bei uns außerhalb für unsere Uber zum Flughafen. Das Padama Hotel war für uns eine große Auswahl für ein erschwingliches Hotel in der Nähe des Flughafens.

Wir verbringen nur eine Nacht, um uns zu entspannen, und am nächsten Tag nehmen wir einen weiteren Flug. Obwohl wir 11:00 Uhr angekommen waren, war Herr Martin sehr empfänglich, aufmerksam und erzieherisch, er hat uns mit einigen Süßigkeiten und Getränken empfangen und am nächsten Tag, obwohl früh, 06:00 Uhr, er uns einen leckeren Frühstück bereitet!! Die Unterkunft war zwar ein alter Haus, war aber gut sauber und sorgfältig.

The location is very good just next to airport. It is very convenient if you have a early flight. It is just 2 minutes walk from hotel to airport. Service is also good.
