Stayed 4 nights, we got a nice friendly welcome and it's in a great location only a few minutes walk from the lovely port of Lerwick. Our en-suite room was comfortable and had a little fridge. The continental help-yourself breakfast was good with cerials, toast, tea etc.. and fresh homemade cakes always available which were delicious. The only thing which annoyed us were some other selfish guests not tidying their breakfast tables after them. We went to the breakfast room the morning after our first night, and all of the tables had been left by other guests with used plates, cutlery, empty yoghurt pots, crumbs and cups with half drunk cold tea/coffee in them so we had to clear up after others before re-setting a table for us to have breakfast! This was no fault of the owner just other lazy selfish guests! This was a bit embarrassing doing this with a couple sat there eating at one of the tables! I think a large notice would help in the breakfast room to remind guests to clean up after themselves to save other guests like us clearing after them as everyone knows before they arrive that it's a self service breakfast room. We did have a nice stay though.

We stayed in room 11 upstairs in June 2024. The room was very small, with a low ceiling under the dormer. The double bed was small with a tiny duvet that barely covered the bed. They had maybe run out of clean sheets as instead of a bottom fitted sheet on the mattress they had used a valance sheet which didn't stay on. The mattress was hard foam, not sprung, which I found hard to sleep on. The bedside lights had odd lightbulbs, one was too adark and one ws too bright. There was one large window in the room with good views but it quickly steamed up as there was a lack of ventilation in the room. The window opened fully into the room with no way to lock it at a certain position to stop it blowing open or stop the rain coming in. The bathroom had a bath with a shower hose attached to the taps which worked surprising well, although it leaked a bit. There was no fan in the bathroom so again no ventilation. The bathroom was also dark. Breakfast was very good. Dinner at the asian restaurant on site was excellent. The staff were very friendly.

Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, wir haben vor 8 Uhr morgens von der Fähre eingecheckt. Ich führte uns auch geduldig in die köstliche und lustige Umgebung ein. Da das Zimmer an diesem Tag nicht voll war, hatten wir ursprünglich Zimmer 2 gebucht und der Vermieter hat uns Zimmer 5 im Dachgeschoss des Gebäudes überlassen. Die Aussicht war sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist auch super, es ist immer einfach eine sehr angenehme Erfahrung~
