We have been sightseeing in the area and reserved this Melia with great expectations. I’m afraid Mr Escarrer would be a bit disappointed. On the plus side, the receptionists were really friendly and attentive, with the right helpful attitude. We could say the same about the staff in the cafeteria. The downside was the quality of the food in the cafeteria/bar/restaurant. Frozen chips in a Melia? The chicken fingers to pick at seemed to be a chicken escalope sliced and refried, making it dry and tasteless. Perhaps the menu ought to be relooked at because the premises are really nice. The room was fine although having to go to a vending machine in the lobby to get your minibar products kind of defeats the purpose of a minibar in the room. Breakfast was adequate although not what you expect from a hotel advertised as a Melia affiliate. All on all, a “pass” thanks to the staff.

Very unimpressed with this AC Marriott property. Arrived on a Friday after a very hard week. Staff has been very hands off. Bathroom is outdated and below par. The worst of the worst was no food service, no room service, and basically no service on the weekends. Their restaurant is closed Fri, Sat, and Sun. Very disappointing after walking all day and expecting to enjoy a nice evening in my room. I’d pass on this property and spend your euros elsewhere. Done with Marriott in Europe after a several bad stays.

Clean, nice and comfortable rooms in the best place next to the most important buildings and services of León. Full recommended. We'll be black ASAP. Staff very kind and always available. Complete and variated breakfast.

Built in the 14th century in 1370, this building provides the location of this quaint hotel that is centrally located right at the beginning of the desirable and touristy “barrio húmedo” section of León. Within a short walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars and the main attraction, the Leon Cathedral, you’ll never be far from anything you could want. There’s a restaurant in the hotel that I heard was very good (although on the pricey side) but I never ate there. The local bars and cafe’s all serve tapas gratis with any beverage ordered and there’s no shortage of places to eat! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even though they have set hours at the front desk, every guest gets their own code to get in if it’s past those hours. I’d read that since it’s an old building, that the walls are thin and it can get quite loud, especially if you are closer to street level or over restaurant. I was on 3rd floor and had no issues. Sometimes you could hear people coming in late and the old wood floors creak a little, but it never bothered me and guests were pretty respectful. Nice large tub and shower area. Small tv, that I never used once…no need to when there’s so much nearby to do! I’d stay here again for sure!

Wirkt wie ein Hotel, das nicht von Hoteliers geführt wird. Eigentlich müsste dem Gast schon beim Buchen eine Anleitung zugeschickt werden . Man sollte am besten zur Klinik fahren und dort die zweite Einfahrt nehmen. Dann an der Rezeption die Magnetkarte empfangen. Nun heißt es einen Parkplatz finden. Das Parkhaus ist sehr groß und hat 5 Abschnitte. Man sollte Abschnitt B wählen. Nur dort steht überhaupt etwas von einem Hotel und dort ist auch ein Aufzug zur Rezeption. Hier braucht man nun die Zimmerkarte. Ich habe draußen geparkt was auch ging. Sehr schönes und großes Zimmer. Auch großes Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne. Klimaanlage hat nur geheizt, egal was man eingestellt hat. Frühstücksbuffet lieblos, kaum ein Gast ließ sich hier nieder. Wird das Angebot jeden Tag weggeworfen ??? Die große Bar ist ok. Gehört sie zum Klinikum??? Das beschriebene Restaurant konnte ich nicht entdecken. Hauptgrund für dieses Hotel ist der niedrige Preis. Würden die vielen kleinen Mängel abgestellt, könnte man das doppelte oder mehr verlangen. Foto zeigt die Brotauswahl am Buffet.

Das Hotel ist ein 3-Sterne-Hotel und sieht so aus in seinen Einrichtungen und Zimmern. Das Zimmer hat einen kleineren Raum und das Badezimmer, auch kleiner in meinem Fall hatte eine Spalte in der Mitte ein wenig unbehaglich, um die Dusche zu bekommen (das nicht Bad, was es zu danken ist). Funktionelles, aber korrektes, ohne größeren Verbrauch oder Mangel an Wartung. Frühstück mit einer akzeptablen Variante. Das Hotel ist das beste Personal sowohl in der Rezeption als auch im Café, wie die Frauen der Reinigung alle zu ihrem eigenen und sehr aufmerksam für den Kunden. Idealer Standort für einen Spaziergang in wenigen Minuten zum Zentrum. All dies macht es ein sehr empfehlenswerter 3*, ohne große Anlagen zu erwarten, nichts besonderes, aber perfekt für die Arbeit in Leon oder für einen Ausflug und ohne weiteres mit gutem Komfort zu sein.
