Lokàl Boutique Hotel

The manager Yiannis informed me about a mistake at the booking and he let us use a single room as 3 people. It's was on a hectic weekend in Larnaca, but he did find a solution. The room was rather small even for two people, but it was beautifully decorated and that made up for it. I really enjoyed breakfast (15€) per person, and I found parking easily. The people who work there love it as if it's their own and the renovation work made is AMAZING. Th3 swimming pool I tried to use but couldn't. It was too hot on the rooftop with not even a single spot of shade.

The worst hotel I've ever been to in my life, a blasphemous attitude from the manager in the feeling that the stay at the hotel is ending, they took a deposit from us with false plots because we wrote in the booking that we were not satisfied. No towels, cold water, dirty and old hotel, don't come near!!!

We visited Lokàl during our last trip to Cyprus and were pleasantly surprised in many ways! Our room was a good size, with modern amenities, hot water throughout the day and very clean. The staff were knowledgeable and happy to support us with queries and requests. The building is wonderful - it’s an amazing restorative project preserving the old next to the new - very rare for Cyprus standards. We walked everywhere, to the beach, the Foinikoudes promenade and the night life area. Basically we parked the car and forgot about it for a couple of days. Which is exactly what we needed. My only grudge is against the guy serving our breakfast. He kept bringing one dish after the other and would not stop! 😂 Yummy local delicacies so we had to try them all. Choose your breakfast wisely. You’ve been warned. 😉 We would recommend this place for couples & friends. Thank you Lokàl team, we will return!

My wife and I spent a night at Lokal while visiting Cyprus. We loved this place, what a gem! Staff are welcoming and the room was great. The restoration works preserved the traditional architecture of the building. It’s beautiful to see the old & new coexist. Great location too, it’s 2’ walk from the nearest beach, 5’ from the Foinikoudes seaside area and walking distance to nice coffee shops, restos and bars. Surprisingly quiet at night too, it’s not on the main road. I slept like a baby. 😇

Great location in the historic quarter of Larnaca. Close proximity to beach, bars and restaurants. The staff couldn't have been anymore obliging. Rooms are good sized and well equipped with everything you require. Sun terrace an pool on roof with great views across the old town is an added bonus.

Lokal hotel is situated in an interesting old building. The bedroom is nice but the shower / toilet area was annoying firstly as the showers would flood due to the design of the floor but the main problem was the lack of hot water. We had one hot shower on our arrival on the Tuesday and one hot shower on the Saturday before we left. I complained many times about this and was told an engineer is coming blah blah . I think the truth of the matter was it was a way of saving money as we were the only people staying in the hotel for 3 out of 4 of our nights there. I suspect this hotel runs well in peak season or maybe it’s suffered due to covid . They were very insistent that we paid for the 4 days upfront I suspect this was because they knew the service would be poor and didn’t want anyone refusing to pay. The breakfast that we had was of a rather low quality- the eggs were greasy and the coffee undrinkable. We asked for some orange juice but there was only one glass available/ there were 2 of us. No one else was staying at the hotel- that was obvious. We breakfasted elsewhere after that even though it was included in our room. The local area is great and we had some fantastic food at Lazaris bakery up the road. Staff maintained a polite stance even though we kept asking when hot water would arrive. There was a lot of talk about compensation but that didn’t happen. Finally I booked this hotel partly due to the rooftop pool which was closed for maintenance. Check the small print . It doesn’t open until May 31st. I don’t think this hotel was worth 135 euros per night there are better in the area. Disappointed.
