Für Naturliebhaber ist diese Unterkunft ein Traum. Ein Ort der absolut ruhig und friedlich ist. Wir sind kurz vor Sonnenuntergang noch auf einen nahegelegenen Berg gestiegen und haben von dort einen atemberaubenden Ausblick genossen. Da wir selbst nur ein normales Auto hatten, haben wir früh eine lohnenswerte Jeepsafari gebucht. Außer der schönen Landschaft konnten wir dabei auch einige Antilpopenarten beobachten.

Wir hatten ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Mitten im Naturreservat zwischen den Tieren. Es war eine tolle Unterkunft, sehr groß, top ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Lina als Gastgeberin war immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle. Eine Safari sollte man sich in keinem Fall entgehen lassen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Fantastic location. Very peaceful and you could see the stars at night for miles! Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed 2 nights and I wanted to stay longer but we didn't have extra nights on our trip. A nice Very away from the hustle. Wish we had our own 4x4 to go off roading. Saw quite a few animals in the early AM. Would definitely come back.

The experience was a fantastic contrast to the vivid, hectic Cape Town and surrounding area, wonderful nature, well maintained and stylish, modern lodges, fantastic views, silence, a sky like never seen before, very friendly and personal staff, owner-lead reserve. A 100% recommendation!

We had a fantastic stay at this remote cottage in Drie Kuiler Nature Reserve. The setting is breathtaking, with vast landscapes and complete tranquility—a true escape from the hustle and bustle. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. Whether enjoying the starry skies at night or exploring the reserve during the day, it was a memorable experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking peace and privacy.

An excellent place for those who seek peace, quiet and tranquility. The house is well equipped, has everything you need (including healthy and serene sleep and myriads of stars above your head). The owners are attentive, friendly and professional. We will definitely come back - to be alone with ourselves for a few more days!

We stayed at Drie Kuilen from the 8th to the 10th of December 2024 in the newly built Bontebok House, and it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Nestled in nature, the secluded setting offered the perfect escape, with no disturbances, Wi-Fi, or cellphone reception — an ideal opportunity to truly connect with the Karoo. The house itself is well-furnished and fully equipped for self-catering, complete with a braai and a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for late-night stargazing under the vast Karoo sky. On our second day, we enjoyed a stunning sunset game drive with Stephan and Lena, who were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, making the experience even more memorable. We cherished every moment of our stay and are already planning our next visit!
