Aanshimit was a very cute place!! the owner seemed like she loved the place very much, and was decorated very nicely. it’s a women’s only hostel, so i was glad that i was born a woman. i got one of the rooms - very clean, and the shred kitchen was nicely decorated. you can see the castle on the rooftop.

We had everything we need from the amenities area.
Breakfast is very good range, and most important YUMMY! The staffs at the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful too, they even helped my son (5yr old) with his drink he wants 🥰
We loved the bath, face and hand towels that are used in the hotel. They feel so soft to the skin!

NNatkarnThe room was super clean, well decorated and full equipped. The checkin process was easy. The hotel uses the machine for checking in and out. During my check in, there was a staff to facilitate me with it. The staff was really nice. They provided various amenity kits you can pick them up at the lobby to use in your room.

Eez62Although they have a private carpark by side of the hotel, there was a parking fee charge of 2,000yen. But you're guaranteed a parking spot if you come back later at night.
There are more parking lots in the multi storey carpark by side of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and I think it's relatively new. The front desk reception was very friendly n helpful.
They also have a guest lounge on the ground floor next to the reception. Free flow of coffee and soft drinks plus some alcohol choices like sparkling wine. The lounge is open to hotel guests from 3pm to 11pm. They also provide coffee to go.
The first 2 pictures is the view from our room. Across the highway from the hotel there's a Daisy & an Aeon supermarket. Very convenient to grab some food n light groceries. It's a good location to be in. I'll definitely be coming back to this hotel.

GGastnutzerThe location is nice, close to the castle. It was nice to visit onsen in the hotel and try curry with horse meat in the evening. The breakfast was good too - buffet.
The room was comfortable and clean.
But the bed was sooo extremely small for 2 people. We are exhausted and could not normally sleep. I don’t know why the sell such small beds in rooms for 2. This was only but very big disadvantage.
I guess if you are alone it is perfect.

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wo ich anfangen soll. Ich habe das Hotel gebucht, ohne wirklich viel über die Präfektur Kumamoto zu wissen. Als ich in Kumamoto ankam und feststellte, dass Ueki Onsen noch 40 Minuten mit dem Bus entfernt ist, dachte ich: „Oh je, wo wohne ich?“ Im Hotel wurde ich vom Manager begrüßt, der mir mein Zimmer zeigte und mir die Einrichtungen erklärte. Nachdem ich mich eingerichtet hatte, stellte ich fest, dass es in der Umgebung keine guten öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel gibt und ich während meines Aufenthalts hauptsächlich Beppu und Yufuin sehen wollte. Ich erkundigte mich beim Manager, wo ich ein Auto mieten könnte. Da ich kaum Japanisch spreche, reservierte er eigenhändig ein Auto für mich und bot an, mich persönlich dorthin zu fahren. Er sagte dann auch, er würde mich ein paar Tage später wieder zurückbringen. Nach meinen Ausflügen nach Beppu und Yufui (die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte) sollte man sich die außergewöhnliche und wunderschöne Umgebung in Uekimachi und der Region Aso nicht entgehen lassen. Der Manager und ich machten uns auf den Weg, um meinen Mietwagen zurückzugeben. Auf dem Rückweg brachte er mich zum Kikuchi-Schrein zum Beten und schenkte mir Kaffee und Kuchen. Sie kamen mir auch entgegen und ermöglichten mir, das Onsen vor Ort (unglaublich) nach Feierabend zu nutzen, da ich stark tätowiert bin. Ich bin wirklich dankbar, dieses verborgene Juwel des ländlichen Japans gefunden zu haben, und wenn Sie dieses großartige Land bereisen möchten, empfehle ich Ihnen, abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade zu bleiben. Ich habe während meines Aufenthalts unermessliche Freundlichkeit erfahren und werde dies ein Leben lang in Erinnerung behalten. Vielen Dank, Leute.
