As very regular users of Accor hotels we found this hotel to be up to the high standard that you would expect from the Accor group. Clean, well organised and totally satisfactory. However, unusually, the restaurant attached to this hotel is totally unacceptably poor. Admittedly it is not expensive but my “pièce de boeuf” was totally inedible and with so much sinew that even a steak knife couldn't cut it and my wife's piece of duck was equally horrible. The waiter kindly agreed to change the duck for salmon tartare, which, disappointingly, proved to be totally tasteless. An Ibis Styles Hotel should have a restaurant of a far higher standard attached to it. We will not be returning as being on the edge of the town it seems unlikely that there will be a better independent restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. A great disappointment.

Nous avons pris une chambre pour une soirée étape. L'emplacement est très proche du centre ville avec une station de tram à deux minutes. Le studio est très propre, confortable et bien équipé. la salle de bain est spacieuse et propre. La literie est de bonne qualité. On a apprécié le calme et le prix. C'est idéal pour se faire le petit déjeuner sur place ( 15€ par personne sinon)

Stayed here twice on the way to Spain and the way back. Hotel was fantastic and staff were amazingly helpful. The hotel was very clean, rooms were modern and the gardens/ pool area were very good. Our daughter loved playing with all the outside games. Whilst we did not eat in the restaurant the food looked good. Our only criticism was at the night the bar service was extremely slow, however, staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a stop off point on the way to and from Spain, they also have three free basic (presume 7kw) electric charge points for cars and a load of Tesla chargers.

Für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise buchte ich dieses Hotel, da mich die Internetseite in Verbindung mit dem extrem attraktiven Preis lockte. Tatsächlich bezahlte ich für eine Übernachtung im Doppelzimmer für einen Erwachsenen und ein Kind gerade mal 52 €. Gegen 21 Uhr kamen wir an und der Check-In verlief freundlich und vollkommen problemlos. Das Hotel ist stylish aufgemacht, im Restaurantbereich steht u.a. ein Tischkicker, es gibt einen großen Außenbereich mit Terrasse und an diesem Abend spielte sogar gerade eine kleine Band Livemusik. Der erste Eindruck also erst mal sehr positiv. Für 5 € Aufpreis konnten wir auch noch schnell unser Auto auf einen privaten Parkplatz ca. 100 Meter entfernt abstellen. Die Zimmer sind dann eher wie in einem klassischen Motel angeordnet, d.h. der Zugang zu den Zimmern erfolgt über einen zentralen Außengang und jedes Zimmer hat auch das einzige Fenster zu diesem Gang hinaus. Womit wir beim eigentlichen Problem angekommen sind. Da die Zimmer (ich gehe jetzt mal pauschal von allen aus, bei unserem war es jedenfalls so) keine Klimaanlage haben, ist es im Sommer unerträglich heiß. Wir hatten somit bis zum Einschlafen sowohl das kleine Fenster, aber auch die Zimmertür komplett geöffnet, damit wir überhaupt etwas frische Luft bekommen konnten. Was allerdings bedeutet, dass jeder andere Gast, der diesen Außengang benutzt nur ungefähr einen Meter von unserem Bett entfernt vorbeigegangen ist. Zum Schlafen schlossen wir dann natürlich die Tür und auch den Laden vor dem Fenster ließen wir größtenteils herunter, man möchte ja nicht das Gefühl haben beim Schlafen von fremden Menschen aus geringer Entfernung beobachtet zu werden. Somit wurde es über Nacht im Zimmer natürlich auch wieder unerträglich heiß, was bei uns Beiden zu einem sehr unruhigen und unerholsamen Schlaf führte. Der nahegelegene Bahnhof hingegen störte überhaupt nicht, zwischen 23.00 Uhr abends und 7.00 Uhr am nächsten Morgen habe ich genau einen Zug gehört. Das Zimmer ansich, wenn auch sehr klein, ist vollkommen ausreichend für eine Übernachtung. Es hat ein Doppelbett und einen kleinen Tisch als Ablagemöglichkeit. Das Bad ist ebenfalls sehr klein und durch eine Schiebetür vom Schlafbereich getrennt. Sowohl WC, als auch Dusche waren sauber und gut nutzbar. Fazit: wären die Zimmer klimatisiert, würde dieses Hotel von mir für den Zweck einer Übernachtung, und in Zusammenhang mit dem super attraktiven Preis, die volle Punktzahl bekommen. Ohne Klimatisierung und mit diesen erlebten Einschränkungen reicht es leider nur für eine mittelmäßige Bewertung, denn für Menschen auf der Durchreise ist eine erholsame Nacht ein wichtiges Gut, bevor es am nächsten Morgen wieder auf die Autobahn geht.

Wie viele Mercure Hotels liegt auch dieses Hotel direkt im Zentrum. Ein öffentliches Parkhaus liegt direkt unter dem Hotel, allerdings hat man keinen direkten Zugang zum Hotel. Mit viel Gepäck könnten die Wege etwas lang sein, aber für ein paar Nächte hat man nicht soviel dabei (wir waren nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise). Moderne neue Standardzimmer. Hervorzuheben ist das außergewöhnliche Frühstück. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie ungewöhnlich. Auch das Service Personal beim Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Hund durfte mit Frühstücken und war sehr willkommen.

Stayed one night. Located on the main square: while this location is very convenient and within walking distance of several sights, shops and restaurants, it is also noisy (no soundproofing). At the entrance there are a few steps down to reach the lobby, and then again a few steps up to reach the elevator. This is not the end of it though, because the elevator stops only on half floors, so there are more stairs to navigate with luggage to get to the room. No help with luggage is offered. Rooms are clean and modern. In the first room they gave me, the A/C didn't work; they moved me to another room where it worked well. Comfortable bed and pillows. Conveniently located power outlets. Well lit desk area. Amenities included electric kettle and espresso coffee maker. Bathroom with everything in working order. Shower with good water pressure. Wifi worked well. Breakfast buffet with reasonable selection and good quality items.

Sehr gute Lage am Rande der Altstadt! Sehr schöner Frühstücksraum im obersten Stockwerk mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Altstadt und die schwarze Kathedrale! Sehr gutes umfangreiches Frühstück das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr schöne Lobby mit viel literarischer Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal! Sehr schöne und saubere Zimmer!

This review is in respect of my customer service experience around the booking rather than the accommodation itself, which I have unfortunately not been able to comment on. Myself and a friend made a booking to stay at Dav Hotel in April 2020 as it was our intention to watch Clermont play a home European Cup rugby match. The hotel contacted me to advise that they were having to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore my booking would be cancelled. Knowing full well that we were entitled to a full refund, we decided to try to support the business by instead accepting a credit for a future booking. Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions which impacted upon sports stadium attendances in France, it was not until the 2022/23 season that we could use our credit. We therefore contacted the hotel, requesting a credit in February 2023, on a weekend when Clermont were due to host Leicester Tigers in the European Cup rugby. The hotel manager, Florent Bertelli, responded to our request, confirming that the credit was only available for 18 months and that the booking was therefore lost. Having reviewed previous correspondence, we were never advised of the possibility of losing the credit, which did not appear to be date limited. Being regular travellers and having needed to make a number of cancellations during the COVID-19 pandemic we consistently took the view that we would do everything we could do help businesses survive such difficult times by accepting credit vouchers rather than refunds. All other hotels that we have booked over the last couple of years have been flexible and accommodating, and appear to put the customer experience above the bottom line profit. In this case, we were fully entitled to a refund and we suppose it was our own fault for being so trusting of this business, actually believing that they would appreciate our support rather than stealing our money.

This hotel has Secure parking with a locked electrical gate. Perfect for those travelling with a full car, bike rack & roof box. A great stop off on our way to Spain. Very dog friendly hotel with gardens, The hotel was clean. ideal for a stop off point on a long journey. Short taxi ride into the local town for fabulous French food - a must see!

L'emplacement de l hôtel est très bien, mais au niveau du premier étage (côté qui donne sur les feux rouges )il faudrait peut être changer les fenêtres pour ne plus entendre les véhicules qui s 'arrêtent et redémarre surtout à 7 h . Le petit déjeuner est très bien il y a de tout.Les chambres sont propres mais la douche avait des traces noires au niveau des joints. Il y a aussi un bruit de compteur ou ventilation, dans le couloir du premier étage qu'on entend dans les chambres . Heureusement le personnel est très agréable il y a toujours une personne pour vous répondre...le petit salon est très sympa et le bar restaurant et un vrai plus...Les réceptionnistes sont souriants et répondent à vos questions gentiment, la personne en service le soir est très gentil,il pose des questions pour savoir si vous passez un bon séjour. J'y retournerai mais peut être pas une chambre côté rue !
