Eines der schönsten Hotels, in dem ich jemals war, und es waren viele. Meeresrauschen und frische Luft zum Einschlafen nach wunderbarem Dinner und Kräutertee (Abendritual!), individuell zubereitetes Frühstück mit wunderbarem Inselkäse und ein beheizter Pool…so gehen die Tage dahin im perfekten Hideaway. Aber die liebenswürdigen Menschen sind der Hauptgrund, warum man wiederkommen möchte, DANKE!

Einzigartiges Hotel mit ganz besonderem Flair und traumhafter Aussicht auf den Atlantik. Ganz klar eine Unterkunft aus der Kategorie „once in a lifetime“. Zurückhaltendes, sehr angenehmes Design, lokal inspiriert. Großzügiges, luftiges Zimmer mit hoher Decke und herrlichem Balkon in der ersten Etage. Der Atlantik ist hier stets allgegenwärtig. Traumhafter Infinity Pool. Dank João und seinem fantastischen Team haben wir uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment willkommen gefühlt. Bisher unser Hotel Favorit der gesamten Azoren!

Das sehr kleine Hotel liegt in einem Vorort von Lagoa unmittelbar über dem Kliff, an dem sich bei (häufig vorkommendem Wind) donnernd die Wellen brechen. Das winzige Restaurant bietet ein Frühstück, das serviert wird und sich nie ändert, was bei elf Nächten eintönig ist. Den "Wow-Effekt" konnten wir nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Unser Zimmer lag im ersten Stock (was gut war, denn ebenerdig konnte jeder in die Zimmer von außen hineinsehen, der auf der Terrasse ging) war kahl, mit viel zu kleinem Schrank. Das Bad war grau in grau, die Handtuchhalter in 1,8m Höhe (daneben stand eine kleine Leiter.....), Wohlfühlzimmer sehen anders aus. Vielleicht sind die anderen Zimmer ja gemütlicher. Das Personal war durchgehend sehr nett. Abendessen waren wir hier zweimal; hohe Preise bei Kleinstportionen, aber die Quaiität war gut. Ohne Auto ist man hier ziemlich eingeschränkt. Auch sollte man bei der Planung berücksichtigen, dass ab Mitte Oktober tagelang Regen angesagt sein kann. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt ok, aber nach den vielen positiven Bewertungen hätten wir uns mehr erwartet.

From the street this hotel doesn’t look like much, but once you enter the place is stunning. The deck overlooks the ocean below and has chairs, sitting areas, an infinity pool and a shaded cabana. The views are spectacular! The breakfasts are really good. Service is first rate and extremely helpful (especially João and Sara). Our room was a junior suite which is the smallest type of room in the hotel, but is was big enough. There was a small kitchenette which we never used. There were not enough drawers in the closet to stash our clothes, but had the kitchenette not been there we would have had plenty. This place is a little remote but the front desk can arrange cabs to restaurants and Ponta Delgada.

This is an unbelievable hotel! We stayed for three nights and it exceeded our wildest expectations. The property is stunning and the views are unmatched. We stayed in the Villa and having a private hot tub was amazing. The staff were so attentive and kind. It was truly a home away from home!

White was the perfect place for our honeymoon. From the moment we walked in the door we were struck by the serene ocean views and the very kind and helpful staff. Everyone spoke English perfectly and were all so willing to help make our experience on Sao Miguel great. We stayed in an ocean view suite and it was the perfect place to come home to and unwind after our days of adventure on the island. The hotel was so clean and beautiful. The restaurant food was top quality and paired with a stunning atmosphere, it was so enjoyable we had a hard time wanting to go anywhere else for our meals! They provided us with a cellphone so we could contact concierge at any time, as well as have an emergency number (thankfully we didn’t need to call it!) Lagoa is the best place to stay on the island because it is so central, the west and east were both short drives away. They also provided us with beach towels and a large beach tote bag and umbrellas. We made use of the beach tote every day, this was such a thoughtful thing to include as the island provides lots of opportunities for impromptu swims! We couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I spent four days at the WHITE to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had an excellent experience and will return! The property is beautiful and very well maintained with a wonderful, friendly, and accommodating staff. The food was top notch with a nice selection of local flavors. The small and quiet property is the perfect way to enjoy the Azores! Special thanks to Sandra, Jaoa and the entire staff!

My husband and I just returned from 5 days at White for our 5 year anniversary. The people who work here are kind and attentive, without being overbearing. The massage was the best massage I’ve ever had overlooking the ocean. Rooms were spotless and beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast was incredible- eggs benadict, açaí bowls, omelettes… and always fresh juice. I’m typically not a pool go-er but we used the beautiful pool every day. It is such a special and peaceful place. Location is central to everything for exploring the island. I have no negatives about our experience, other than the fact that we had to leave.
