We stayed here for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago to break up a 2 week holiday elsewhere along the coast. We had not been to the La Manga Strip but managed to get a decent last minute deal. Location wise, it is quite low on the strip, the area feels quite run down with a real lack of places to eat (except for some decent seafront restaurants about 200 yards away - highly recommend Bonobo). The entrance is on a large open area of concrete opposite a SPAR, which seems to attract youths at night who make an awful lot of noise. We had a family room right above the entrance and could not get to sleep the first night due to the noise. We complained to the hotel who I believe told the youths to go away, so by about 1am it got quieter. The mediterranean coast is about 5 mins walk across the road - highly recommend this -the beach wasnt mega crowded and the water was clean and safe - our kids had a lot of fun. The hotel food is good with plenty of choice. Breakfast is plentiful and the evening buffet is nicely cooked, and reasonably priced. The pool area is nice, but they did run out of towels on our second day (which is strange given there were only about 50 people using the pool), and they also decided to start testing the water and scrubbing a 'scum/suncream' line off the side of the pool whilst people were using it (not out of hours) which I did not think was appropriate. Staff generally were friendly and welcoming. Our room was great, clean and spacious, just in completely the wrong location for kids to get a good nights sleep. It wasnt clear where the parking lot was when we first arrived (it is down the road just before the hotel, then left at the end and left again) so we did drive around a bit until I found a street space. So - a bit of a mixed review. We had a good time here but felt a couple of things let the hotel down, which is a real shame. If you have young children - avoid 132 as it really is noisy at night.
