Hakuna Majiwe Beach Lodge Bewertungen

Die gesamte Hotelanlage liegt direkt am Meer, mitten im Sand und fühlt sich wie das Paradies an. Sie verteilt sich großflächig auf ca. 20 Bungalows im typisch sansibarischen Stil. Jeder Bungalow wird von 2 Parteien genutzt und verfügt über eine große überdachte Veranda. Die Betten sind einwandfrei. Die Zimmer haben eine Klimaanlage, die erstaunlicherweise auch bei offenem Fenster, kein Zimmer hat zu schließende Fenster, funktioniert. Mit geschlossenen Vorhängen lässt sich vollkommen problemlos die Zimmertemperatur deutlich spürbar zum Schlafen herunterkühlen. Die Badezimmer sind nicht mehr neu, sondern bestimmt 20 Jahre alt. Was jedoch kein Problem ist,  da alles sehr sauber und nirgendwo siffig ist.  Das Essen ist guter Standard, african Style. Für den deutschen Magen hat Käse und Wurst gefehlt, das Brot war zu hefeteiglastig. Ansonsten war am Frühstück jedoch nichts auszusetzen. Von Früchten, Cornflakes,  Instant Müsli und Süß, wurde ein Eierfrühstück im Britischen Stil individuell zubereitet. Im Allgemeinen war das Personal bemerkenswert freundlich und versucht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Das sonstige Essensangebot war nicht umfangreich, kommen da Nebensaison. Der Koch versteht jedoch eindeutig sein Handwerk. Die Anlage verfügt über einen sehr großen und gepflegten Pool, von dem jeden 2. Tag eine Schar von Affen beobachten kann. Das Hotel liegt idyllisch fernab des touristischen Trubels in Paje, der jedoch fußläufig in 20 Minuten zu erreichen ist. Ein stets präsenter und unaufdringlich aufmerksamer Manager hat den Traumurlaub abgerundet. Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub abseits des Trubels sucht, ist hier richtig.

Wir waren 11 Tage an diesem wunderschönen Ort und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Die Anlage liegt sehr ruhig mit einem fantastischen Blick auf das Meer und den Strand. Wer Entspannung sucht, wird hier fündig. Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren 1o Tage an diesem wunderschönen Ort und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Die Anlage liegt sehr ruhig mit einem fantastischen Blick auf das Meer und den Strand. Wer Entspannung sucht, wird hier fündig. Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt. Auch wenn nicht ganz neu, wirkt die Anlage gepflegt und überrascht mit der Weitläufigkeit. Der Pool ist gross und tief, was man nicht mehr so oft findet. Empfehlenswert.

Zimmer, Badezimmer aus einer anderen Zeit, aber ziemlich sauber. Schlechtes Catering, immer das Gleiche, sehr prägnantes Frühstück, das sich nicht ändert, ein Beispiel: nur eine Sorte Marmelade, der Kaffee ist Nescafé. Unerfahrenes Personal, aber trotzdem verfügbar und lächelnd, aber sehr gespannt darauf, uns zu sehen Bsp. verlassen: Aperitif in der Lounge. Wir holen Sie um 19:45 Uhr zum Abendessen ab, da der Service bald endet. Schöner Strand, aber nie gereinigt. Sonnenliegen aus Holz und Seile. Die Seile sind entweder kaputt oder morsch. Keine Wartung. Keine Unterhaltung Hotel und Restaurant im Verfall

Vernachlässigtes Hotel, das nicht den Beschreibungen entspricht. Das Personal ist nett, aber unerfahren. Die Lage wäre königlich, wenn der Strand gereinigt wäre. Wegen der Felsen ist Schwimmen nicht möglich. Die Zimmer sind groß, aber veraltet, mit veralteten Badezimmern. Traurige Atmosphäre, schlechte Bar, keine Unterhaltung. Ein abgenutzter Tischfußball, eine Tischtennisplatte im Wind, ein Volleyball mit zerrissenem Netz, alles strahlt Ressourcenmangel aus. Korrektes Catering, aber fragwürdige Hygiene in der Küche. Großer und hübscher Süßwasserpool. Dorf Paje 2,5 km entfernt, tagsüber über den Strand erreichbar. Aber abends gibt es rund um das Hotel nichts zum Ausgehen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr unzureichend.

Der schlimmste Aufenthalt auf der ganzen Insel, wir haben uns nicht sicher gefühlt. Ich war zweimal in Sansibar und ich schwöre, es ist der schlimmste Albtraum und die Leute dort sind noch schlimmer. Keine Einrichtungen, kein Internet, keine Klimaanlage und die Qualität des Essens ist mehr als schlecht, kein Ort zum Entspannen, da die Mitarbeiter den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht an der Rezeption schlafen. Spinnen im Badezimmer und Blutflecken auf den Bettlaken. Dazu kommt, dass, nachdem unsere Zahlung über die Buchung offengelegt wurde, ihr verunsicherter Manager die Polizei rief, weil er noch einmal in der Unterkunft zahlen wollte. Sie ließen uns für kostenloses Wasser bezahlen, sie erhöhten den Preis für uns, sie taten alles, was ein Mensch in seinem Urlaub nicht will. Bleiben Sie bitte weg von diesem kranken Ort und PS: Es ist in Jambiani, nicht in Paje, wie sie behaupten.

Der Strand ist außergewöhnlich! Das Hotel muss renoviert werden! Das Zimmer war sauber, muss aber renoviert werden. Auch der Poolbereich... Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für All-Inclusive ist es etwas dürftig...kann verbessert werden!

Hakuna Majiwe bedeutet „Kein Stein“ und passt perfekt zu den Reizen, die dieser Strand zu bieten hat!! Die Strandhütte befindet sich in Paje! Es ist ein wunderschöner, ruhiger, traditioneller Ferienort mit ruhiger und friedlicher Natur! Wunderschöner weißer Sand, türkisblaues, warmes Wasser! Sie können Kitesurfen genießen, und wenn Sie nicht surfen, können Sie ihnen zusehen oder mit NO STONES „Hakuna Majiwe“ am weißen Sandstrand spazieren gehen, die erfrischende Brise genießen und Ihre Füße einweichen oder im warmen Indischen Ozean schwimmen! Wir sind dankbar für den vorbildlichen Service aller Mitarbeiter der Hakuna Majiwe Beach Lodge! Besonderer Dank geht an den Manager Sourav, der uns nicht nur einen exzellenten Service geboten hat, sondern vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen auch unglaublich leckere, frische indische Gerichte von der Speisekarte zubereitet hat! Unser Aufenthalt im Hakuna Majiwe war fantastisch und wir werden die Erinnerungen in Ehren halten! Ich kann dieses Resort wärmstens empfehlen. After a week of safari in mainland, we were dleighted to rest in such a great place. The team had been very welcoming and always available. The Chef has developped a tasty menu - always fresh products for good value. Our kids were taught how to play local games while we had a relaxing time enjoying Julia’s massage or discussing with the team. We all enjoyed walking along the peaceful and beautiful beach only 10 minutes walk from the busy Jambiani where you can find bars if you’re looking for a fun night. We were only one hour away from the Stone Town or the North beach where you swam with dolphins. The whole team, includinf the kitesurf instructoe, has been very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved it here!

The staff were friendly but the accommodation was very poor. We had a lodge facing the beach and while we didn’t expect luxury, we did expect it to be reasonable. Our main problem was that it was impossible to sleep because: 1. The bed was hard frame and protruded from the mattress so I was unable to get into it without first standing on a chair or stepping onto the chair to get out of it. I am of reasonable height. 2. The ceiling fan and air conditioning were old and exceptionally noisy … it was impossible to sleep with either one or both of them turned on. Consequently, it was very hot at night. 3. A light at the edge of the private beach was turned on at night and faced our lodge, shining into our room and keeping it light all night. There was no blind to pull at the window to block out the light. The bathroom was basic and very old and worn. The food was OK but very limited choice. The beach is a public beach so there are many people walking up and down selling various things. The sea is beautifully warm but you have to be careful because there are many people wind surfing or learning how to windsurf and you need to be able to avoid them. We did not go into the pool as I wasn’t entirely sure how clean it would be given the standard of our room. It’s a shame the hotel seems to have deteriorated so much as I imagine it could have been lovely once but I definitely would not recommend it now.

Just the right place if you want total relaxation and connect with nature as the property is surround by trees and beautiful coastline. True to the name, the sand is white and no stones. We were upgraded as our room AC unfortunately developed a problem. The manager Mr. Sourav made sure our stay was very comfortable. The Chef went out of his way to make sure we had nice seafood cuisine. Kudos to Mr. Sourav, Chef and the entire team!! The pool and it's surrounding environment which is also covered by trees giving you the feeling of being in the forest was amazing. On the flip side, the rooms should be fitted with glass windows so that the room gets cooled with AC. A place I will recommend.

Our stay at Hakuna Majiwe was amazing. The location is great, close to Paje center, yet far enough to have a quiet time, surounded by beautiful nature. The crown jewel of this hotel are it`s employees. They made sure that we had everything we needed and they made us fall in love with the kindness of swahili people. Chef Chedrak and David`s food was amazing and they made sure that we love the dishes every day and that we do not leave hungry. The food at the restaurant was such good quality, that we couldn`t get ourselves to eat someplace else the whole stay. The yard was always clean and well kept and we even saw monkeys in front of our room. The only thing that wasn`t 5/5 were the rooms. They cleaned everyday, but some elements were just old and deteriorated, like the bed canopy or the bathroom faucets. All in all, we had a great vacation, the employees and chefs were great and we left with a good impression, willing to come back.

A little house on a very white beach and lots of good food , we were very satisfied especially for the beautiful excursions of Raoul , the sound of the sea , no windows, just the Africa we were looking for,clean room with mosquito nets every day towels, perfett!!! A dream

Staying at Hakuna Majiwe felt like finding a hidden slice of paradise, a real good value for money. It was made even more special by the incredible team that runs the place. I came here with my parents and my sister this summer, end of July approx. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine care that it felt like coming home. The staff here aren’t just doing their jobs—they’re truly passionate about making your stay unforgettable. Every interaction, from the friendly greetings in the morning to the thoughtful touches throughout the day, showed how much they genuinely care about their guests' experience. They cared a lot, helping with the suitcases, bringing the food to the room (room service), showing a service and type of staff seen nowhere but as in Hakuna Majiwe. What really stood out to me, though, was the food. Breakfast had a variety in worldwide and local food, which is thanked to try the flavors from Zanzibar. Every meal was a treat, bursting with fresh, local flavors, they tasted amazing, hats off to the chef, who even asked us if everything was good! The chefs clearly put their heart into every meal, and it shows. If we had to mention a downside, we would say that, as we kind of came in a time in which there were no guests, we missed a bit more of activity, animation at the hotel… Though, some new guests came the last 2 days we had there. Hakuna Majiwe isn’t just a hotel; it’s a place where you feel truly looked after, where every detail is taken care of so you can fully relax and enjoy your surroundings. The amazing staff, food and decoration made my stay here something I’ll always remember fondly! Thanks!!
