Hotels in der Nähe von Haanes Gården, Kristiansand

I booked this at very short notice for 1 night in the run up to Christmas as corona started to gain momentum once more. Parking has to be in the parking house opposite, where isn’t wasn’t easy to find a space. Not the hotels fault it was full of Christmas shoppers, but something to consider. Check in went well and then up to the room in the one working elevator. The room was small, but tidy and the temperature control didn’t work which meant having to leave the window open. It would have also been nice if the cleaners had emptied the bins instead of leaving the last occupants rubbish in. Getting a meal wasn’t possible as no restaurant but plenty of options in the streets nearby. In summary, not the greatest hotel experience ever, but OK for what I needed.

On arrival i was a little concerned by the size and appearance of the lobby. No need for concern! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a junior suite, which was very reasonably priced for a downtown metro hotel. The bathroom was bright and exceptional, with a great walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock! The location is probably the best in Kristiansand. Easy walk to everything. This is not a resort hotel. The Thon Parken is a very solid choice for a base from which to explore the area.

Das Hotel dient im Wesentlichen dem angrenzenden Themenpark, so dass vielleicht zu viel zu fragen, wenn man davon ausgehen kann, dass es den Bedürfnissen eines Geschäftsreisenden gerecht wird. Allerdings ... Einchecken war freundlich, wenn recht langsam, und ich wurde gebeten, für meine drei Tage Parkplatz zu zahlen, was ich gerne tun wollte, aber ein Empfang benötigt, so dass ich es zurückfordern konnte. Das war nicht möglich, ich wurde versprochen, eine wäre auf der Abreise verfügbar. Das Zimmer war OK, aber nicht mehr; ein nicht sehr großer Raum wurde weiter durch ein Paar aus gefolgt, geformte bunke Betten. Blackout war nur um OK, Bett war akzeptabel, wie die Dusche (aber in keinem dieser Fälle mehr als ”akzeptabel”). Ich habe mich bei einem Flug am Morgen des checkouts sehr früh verlassen und mich vor der Nacht um meine Rechnung gebeten (Zimmer war vorbezahlt, aber es war Parkplatz ...). Nein, nicht möglich, aber ”wir hinterlassen einen Hinweis, so dass, wenn Sie es tatsächlich auschecken, es bereit sein wird”. Sofort bis 05:00 und natürlich keine Rechnung und der Kerl hatte keine Ahnung, wie es zu generieren - ”keine Sorge, wir werden es Ihnen e-mailen”. Sie haben natürlich nicht, Also bin ich jetzt für drei Tage lang aus der Tasche von teurer norwegischer Parkplätze. Würde ich zurückgehen?
