Clear View Resort

Buena ubicación y buenas vistas. Nos dieron una habitación inferior a la que habíamos pagado y nos cambiaron al segundo día pero no nos compensaron por la noche anterior. Bastantes cucarachas pero es común en el país. La cama cómoda pero la almohada demasiado alta.

We loved this place it reminded us of a mini golf course with the pure white waffle walls the Astro turf and the curved trimmed steps. We stayed in room 2 which we think is the best room on the resort , the view was spectacular and just a few steps down to the sea where snorkelling was amazing. Just a short walk around the rocks to a sanded beach, and lots of local shops and restaurants (we recommend in touch) a short walk left out of the resort, food was very tasty and lots of choice . Our room was clean and modern and there’s a big seated basket lie down area outside where you can soak up the amazing views and sunset. We had a water boiler in a room which kept water hot for tea which we found useful. Only negatives were no plugs near to where you can get ready a third bed in our room which we didn’t need made it feel a little cramped but the room is for 3. There is some work going on opposite the hotel which is an extension of Clear view but again this didn’t really affect us and we heard no noise disturbances. It’s advertised as breakfast included but there’s no restaurant so be mindful of that and I think we paid over the odds for a room here but we are happy to pay it for the room we got so no complaints. The manager was polite and took time to ask us daily if all ok with room and we had daily water melon given to us, all staff were pleasant and polite.

This was a terrible pick. We chose it based on *********** reviews and regretted it as soon as we arrived. The “resort” is completely run down, falling apart, rotten structures, infested with roaches and ants. The manager convinced us to stay one night of our 5 and promised to resolve the situation but it was a joke. Our room doors wouldn’t secure or close, the balcony was rotten and unsafe to use, room covered in bugs, I was bitten by a roach during the night. No sound proofing, loud music all night, no front desk service. Beds are ancient, probably never been changed. Everything in the room was broken, torn, stained, and had a layer of filth. The view and location are gorgeous, for sure, but it’s also not beachfront and you can’t swim there. We stayed the one night and the manager refused to reimburse us until we contacted booking, even then only 3/5 nights refunded. He tried to convince my partner to take his cell phone in exchange for reimbursing the room. It was totally bizarre. Other guests had rented scooters and returned them dissatisfied. He was keeping passports as leverage. Avoid this place if you can. The photos don’t do it justice and I’m certain any positive reviews were paid for. We lost half a day of our vacation dealing with this. Of the 8 stays in Thailand this was the worst.

I arrived very early having had very little sleep on the sleeper ferry and fell asleep on the sunbeds! The owner was the kindest gent ever and made up a room straight away so I could sleep! The staff are the nicest people, beautiful location, great pool and right on the beach. I was only meant to stay for 1 night but ended up staying for 3!

Great accomodation for small family of 3. Double bed + single bed. Pool overlooking ocean ❤️ Beautiful yummy breakfast ❤️ And very friendly staff ❤️ Short walk to Sairee Beach with many bats and restaurants. Beach looked nice. Short walk if you want to swim. Laundry close by and a nice relaxed vibe. Short boat trip to snorkel Koh Nanguan

Clear View Resort was a great choice and experience for us. Locate right by the ocean with an awesome infinity pool. Our room was very spacious with nice A/C. The service was very friendly and attentive. We rented a motorbike from them at a reasonable price of 200 Baht per day. We enjoyed our evenings on the balcony with a great view of the sunsets. It is located in a quiet area of the island, which makes it a great place for families. If you want to join the more active area, it is only about a 10 to 15 minutes walk or a short ride. When we return to Koh Tao, we will stay at Clear View Resort again.
