D Varee Diva Avenue Samui

The hotel i booked was the building in front and was shut down. For the price i paid it was very basic. I could barelly see with the poor light in the bathroom It was an ok stay but for half the price it is

Location: Good, very close to the beach and nearby to some good restaurants and places to buy coffee. 7/11 is also just down the road. About a 20 minute walk to the main strip in Chaweng for nightlife. Hotel: Nice and spacious but not kept very well…seems like it was a beautiful hotel some years ago and it’s been let go a little bit…Either way the bed was comfy, shower was warm, and we had a balcony and a gym (although the gym is a bit old too!). There is NO POOL! On the photos it shows a pool, that has been closed now apparently…? It’s also not called Dvaree Diva anymore, it has a new name. TDLR: Is it luxury? No. Is it a good hotel for an alright price? Yes. We actually ended up booking a couple more nights.

We booked on agoda when we got there the hotel was closed so we went across the road and it is actually called Laem Din Hotel must be the same owners and 1 is closed down. The hotel we booked (D Varee Diva Avenue Samui) had a pool and this was the reason we booked, but since the the building was closed there was no pool 'due to covid'. The location of the hotel was good 10 min walk from Chaweng shopping centre & beach. The second night we discovered a Mouse in the room.. we told reception and he said to not leave food out to.. (basically blamed us) we had been there 1 day and did not leave any food out. We did not get an apology. There was a hole in the roof where the mouse came from, we told the receptionist that we covered the hole with a sock and he didn't really respond. He said the room will need to be cleaned.. Wouldn't recommend due to the service we received when we confronted him about the situation.
