I stayed for 2 nights here at the start of a G Adventures 14 day tour of S India. Whilst I was expecting budget accommodation, I was also expecting a semblance of basic western style hotel. The whole place was extremely grimy with sticky surfaces, grubby looking sheets, poor threadbare towels with holes in, smelly bathroom. It was so bad that my friends and I changed our plans and left the tour a day early rather than return here for our last night as planned.

Avoid if possible We stayed here for 2 nights before joining a GAdventures tour. Although the staff were friendly, the rooms were dank and smelly with dirty, ripped towels and bedding. Booking a budget tour with a Canadian company we weren’t expecting luxury; we assumed we would have basic western standards such as clean towels, bedding and bathroom. The surfaces were grubby and the bathroom was grim. We were glad to leave. Location is good and staff were happy to take luggage to your room.

If you are looking for a clean budgeted hotel in Fort Cochin, this place is excellent. Very close to Fort Cochin beach(Not a good beach for swimming) and the Fort cochin walkway. General Manager Mr. Ramesh(9947005348) was always available in the property for any assistance and he is well connected in this area.

The worst place we ever checked in.. and we moved to another place nearby immediately. All the three rooms we booked weren’t ready for check in. The linens and pillows were covered with fungus. Fans were covered with several layers of dust. Pathetic bathrooms. We got this vibe the moment we entered the building itself. Could smell fungus all around. Owner gave excuses that they clean immediately after check out and leave the room as it is till it is booked by another unfortunate soul and the conversation heated up when I asked them to change the linen and to clean the fans and we can wait .. he claimed he have enough staff to clean. He even insisted us to look out for another option. To sum up, this is a pathetic place to stay.

It is a basic hotel close to everything. It is B&B with the all the stuff you need. If you are 2-3 nights it is perfect. For the breakfast you have to ask for the menu. Only things that are in the buffet is toast, fruits and cornflakes. The service is polite and helpful. We had a great stay. If it should have been a 4 we would have to have fresh water in our room and being able to make coffee or tea. It needs a bit of maintenance around but nothing compared to our other stays on our trip.
