It's a great family - friendly and very well maintained hotel. Will stay again if we are on the island

Great spot and a nice little cabin style accommodation. Bathroom was open around the edges but not too many mossy s came in that way. There was a lot of mossy s around when opening the front door. The room had aircon and a fan, fridge hairdryer and kettle. No coffee or tea sachets provided. Breakfast was good with a selection on 2 days from the buffet and then last day alacarte. Great spot on beach. A lot of places seemed to be closed due to low season.

This place is very good with friendly staff on the quiet side of one of the best beaches on the island. Highly recommended.

Чудесное место Муж отдыхал тут 5 лет назад и мы снова выбрали его. После ковида много чего изменилось, сам остров несколько замер , но Ziggi на плаву ) Гамак на веранде то , что нужно ) Телевизора нет (для тех кому это важно), полная перезагрузка )) Уборка по требованию ! Дают пляжные полотенца. Рядом с отдельным баром - лежаки, мало , но при желании всем достанется ) Хорошая массажка ! Вишенка на торте - фургон с крантиками для напитков ☺️ Закаты бесподобные ! завтраки вполне себе европейские ! Много фруктов в сравнении со всеми отелями Азии !

Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft! Die Zimmer sind frisch renoviert: Groß und sauber.. Gelegen sind die Bungalows direkt am Strand von Ao Yai, bessere Lage geht eigentlich nicht. Servicepersonal ist jederzeit nett und hilfsbereit und löst Probleme sofort. Unbedingt die selbstgemachte Pizza probieren! Freue mich auf das nächste Mal! :)

Had an amazing 4 nights at Ziggy Stardust! Stayed here once before years ago and I have to say the improvements the new management have made recently are incredible, including the addition of a/c in all rooms, repainting, electricity 24/7 (not always the case elsewhere on Koh Phayam), and a huge deck extension at the restaurant for watching sunset. Food was delicious at Brew Lagoon. Breakfast was included and came with many options, including vegetarian and vegan. They have a big menu with many options you won’t find on Ao Yai, which is a nice change from the typical beach menu at other resorts. Not to mention they have their own craft beer + wine on tap! The staff were excellent and always very polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and steps away from the beach. Location is quiet and peaceful but still within walking distance of the other sections of Ao Yai. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My partner and I had a blast during our beachfront bungalow stay right before Songkran 2024. The room was clean and had everything we could ask for. We opted for the transfer service from the airport to the pier and then straight to the resort – talk about convenience! ✨⭐️ Our room was spotless upon check-in, and one side of the window faced the ocean, making it a dream to wake up to those stunning views right from our bed. 🌊 Breakfast was a treat! We were offered a choice of freshly made sandwiches or wraps that were absolutely scrumptious. On my last day, I tried the Thai rice boiled soup, and it was a flavor explosion! 🤤 And the highlight? Swimming with plankton at night right off the beach where we stayed. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just a heads up, this activity requires caution, but it's definitely worth it for the magical glow! ✨🌊

Booked at Ziggys for 5 nights and were lucky enough to add 5 nights. It's one of those places where you can just chill and relax. Very clean room. Waking up and walking to the beach for a morning swim. Eating a yummie fresh burger and drinking a freshly brewed beer while overlooking the Andamam Sea for lunch....... priceless! The staff is great and always helpfull. Can't wait to visit again next year!

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Ziggy Stardust has been transformed from a beautiful paradisiacal location to a tacky gordy tourist trap. The new manager has decided that basically no Thai food on the menu and no Thai beer is a good idea. Gone are the days of some of the best food on the island coupled with well priced Thai beer cans, only to be replace with a disappointingly predominantly western menu with the only beer being a craft beer at THB180 per glass, served from a very tacky tuk-tuk on the deck. The renovations to the room were well overdue and credit where credit is due the rooms are massively improved. The bed is comfy and the pillows are nice, as is the inclusion of a safe and mini fridge. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. “Assistant manager” is rude and unwelcoming, completely unlike what Ziggy Stardust was before. The new manager seems to have no clue of what this resort was and should be. It used to have the most amazing menu of Thai food with some western staples, only to be replaced by a western menu with an insulting three Thai dishes. To top that off it is now displayed on an extremely tacky light up menu display above the “bar”. Throughout our trip the restaurant was empty every night, except New Year’s Eve. There is also no breakfast menu at all for guests, which seems a weird choice as you are essentially asking an entire resorts worth of paying customers to spend there money elsewhere. The location is still amazing but I worry for the direction the new manager is taking this resort in. It breaks my heart to write this review, as someone who has been coming to Ziggy Stardust since 2016, but the new manager has taken something special and removed everything that made it so.
