Lanta Emerald Bungalow

We stayed at Lanta Emerald for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. The bungalows were clean and spacious, with air con and a fridge, comfy beds, and lovely big windows looking out on to the garden. The restaurant overlooks the beach, and the food was delicious with a wide range of options. The adjoining bar was a highlight - it has a really lovely, chilled atmosphere, great music, pool table, Thai cushions on decking overlooking the beach and the sunsets, with daily Happy Hour from 5-8. We loved our evenings there, many sunset cocktails! On the other side of the restaurant is a beautifully shaded and breezy area for massages, heaven. And in the gardens there is a pool, perfect for lounging by when the beach is too hot. Ron and his family were brilliant hosts, so friendly and welcoming and looked after us really well. All in all, a wonderful place to stay - 5 stars!

Absolutely loved our stay in beach side bungalow., bungalow was spotless & so comfy. The manager & his staff were lovely & couldn't help you enough! The pool is fantastic & the bar attached was great! Massages & scooter rental are available & the beautiful beach is a stones throw away. Highly recommended, thank you Lanta Emerald! 👏🏻👏🏻😁

Lovely resort right by the beach. Our bungalow was spacious and clean. Ron and his family, who own and run the place, are lovely and we had some really lovely chats and good laughs. The restaurant’s food is delicious - we stayed for two days and didn’t bother eating anywhere else. The tofu red curry was the best I’ve ever had. And the sunsets are magnificent, which you get front row seats to at the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 10 nights in March 2023. Located in a great area, with lots of places in walking distance. We booked 2 beach front rooms but having done our research, knew that this just meant nearest to the beach, with a side sea view. A few steps from the room, past the massage ladies and you were at the steps leading to the beach. A few steps straight ahead is the reception, restaurant and bar. A few steps in the other direction is the pool. We had a hire car, so were glad we could use the car park outside the rooms. The room was basic but clean, although looking a bit tired but this is Thailand and most places are still recovering from the effects of the pandemic. The aircon is good and the bed comfortable. There is a fridge, water, coffee (tea on request) and a kettle. There is also shampoo and shower gel in sachets. The TV advertised wasn’t in the room but this didn’t bother us. Rooms are cleaned every other day but if you need anything topping up, you just need to ask at reception. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices and they also have a juice/smoothie bar. The bar next door also serves the hotel but could do with some comfy relaxing chairs. The pool is nice for when the tide is out, as the beach becomes rocky. It could do with some new sunbeds and an umbrella or 2. When the tide is in the beach is lovely, with clear warm water. There are many bars, restaurants and hotels along the beach. There are also many restaurants along the main road, just a short walk away. Great little place, with friendly owner and staff.

The good bits Rooms are spacious and it’s nice to have an outside terrace to dry clothes/sit on Owner Ron is very helpful with recommendations and can arrange trip bookings On site restaurant has a wide variety of local and western food. On site bar, owned by Len, is great and has a pool table and happy hour. Situated right on the beach- lots of bars/restaurants to walk to The not so good bits The bathrooms are wet rooms without a shower screen so it’s difficult to keep toiletries dry. Shower in the second room was very low pressure If you are booking the seafront rooms just be mindful they are the rooms closest the beach but do not actually face/open onto the beach. Even if you stayed in the room furthest from the beach it’s only a minute walk so no problem The wifi drops out literally every 10 mins making streaming or video calls impossible

They refused to honour a booking made and paid in full for two rooms 5 months previous. We made this booking and paid during Covid when no one was travelling. Now everything is open, they emailed us asking for more money. When we questioned paying beyond the original amount, they cancelled our booking. We’re very disappointed.
