We stayed at this hotel during the third week of May. They had just opened for the summer season and yet had fairly few guests, which caused some problems: * a/c did not work - rapidly fixed by change of remote control batteries * electronic door lock malfunctioned - eventually had to be replaced as a unit This big problem was: We did not have any hot water (running it for 10-15 minutes did not help) from our arrival on Sunday until Friday morning. Several attemps were made to fix the problem, a reason being stagnant hot water cooling in the pipes due to little useage. On the positive side everything was clean and modern (incl the pool), the breakfast was very good (although would have benefited from a bigger serving area) and the staff was quite friendly and helpful. Special kudos to Maria, who dressed my wife's right hand that had been rather badly lacerated when she fainted and fell.

Does what it says on the tin, the Hotel Hermes is a great base for anyone looking for a beach holiday that isn’t going to break the bank! Closely located to tavernas, shops and the local beach you have everything you need on your doorstep! Pros - *Great Pool *Good Breakfast - buffet with continental and hot options *Stephania was fantastic - recommended an incredible winery tour and informed us of the bus service and how to get there! (Thanks again Stephania!!) Cons- *Very small bathroom and tiny bath with shower over it - difficult to shower it was so small *Rooms/decor/windows/balcony could do with a freshening up *We had a room at the front and noise from the street was very loud, it felt like the windows were open at times - loud traffic/motorbikes from very early disturbed sleep on several occasions *Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days, would be nice to have fresh sheets, towels and bins replaced more often Overall, Hermes is a good place for those who need a base to sleep and shower when exploring the local area/having a beach holiday and the nice breakfast is a bonus!

We have been coming to Crete for 20 years and wish we had discovered Revekka Rooms before. We have stayed here for five nights and found it to be an excellent base for walking, flower hunting , bird watching and archaeology. The room is spacious and kept very clean. The bed is large and comfortable. Food at the nearby Cellar is superb, both for breakfast and dinner. Parking is easy. Shops are a few minutes walk away. Last but not least, the hotel staff were outstandingly friendly, efficient and helpful.

Der Besitzer ist ein großer Gastgeber. Er und seine Mutter sind Ihnen die Sklaven. Ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick, Sie hatten einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Es gibt verschiedene Restaurants rund um die Gegend, und in einigen für Bewohner in Bikakis Familienwohnungen gibt es ermäßigte Gebühren für ihre Mahlzeiten. Das archäologische Museum in Kissamo ist 300m entfernt und der Hafen ist 5 km entfernt. Bei 50m finden Sie einen Bus und eine Bankstop, während der lokale Markt ist 80m. Die Region ist eine ideale Basis für die Erforschung des Westens von Kreta. Sie können Balo, Falasarna, Gramsa und Elefant besuchen, die nahe gelegene Landschaft ist beeindruckend, mit Bergen, Felsen und Küstendorfen.
