This is a terrific hotel in a prime location for driving the Ring of Kerry and visiting attractions in Kenmare and Killarney. The hotel staff are uniformly friendly and helpful; the food and drink at the hotel are first rate (we ate one meal in the restaurant - evening and another in the bar - evening as well as breafkasts). We highly recommend this hotel!

Great staff !! awesome ! Especially Jiri, Tonvi and Roisin. Truly made you feel very welcome, comfortable, and happy. Immaculate hotel, and in best spot of downtown Killarney, where it is starting point for walking to the amazing surrounding areas. Definitely will be back and stay at the Killarney Plaza Hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are unreal. Everyone was so helpful, from the day I booked until the time we left, they all could not do enough for us. We were there for my partners birthday and they arranged ballon’s, wine and cakes in the room for our arrival. We arrived early and the team arranged for the room to be prioritised so we could get in. The doorman was so welcoming, he made time for everyone..The bar staff were fantastic and recommended a great place for dinner and to watch the rugby and even said they would book it for us because they were there to make it easy for us! The breakfast was good, it was very busy but the staff were making sure everyone was taken care of. The pool and jacuzzi were fab and it was just a perfect end to our mini break. This felt more like a 5 star experience and I would recommend 100% and we will definitely be back again.

Wir waren im Oktober für ein paar Tage im Lake Hotel. Das Hotel ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und man könnte überlegeb, ob man ein wenigh in die Zimmer investieren skönnte ( Badfliesen, Teppiche)ist aber aich nicht überrissen teuer. Es ist sehr ruhig nachts, wir haben hervorragend geschlafen.Das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen lecker und für Familien ist das Hotel sehr gut geeignet. Wir kamen nach dem Reten sehr nass zurück und unsere saxchen wurden sofort in einen Trockenraum gebracht. Morgens um 5 konnten wir Hirsche direkt vor unserem Fenster beobachten. Wir hatten dort ein tolle Zeit.

Das wunderbare Haus ist in der Tat in die Jahre gekommen. Eine aussenseitige Auffrischung würde sicherlich nicht schaden. Das Zimmer, welches wir hatten, war sauber und hatte einen gediegenen Sitzplatz, welcher man mit Blick ins Grüne geniessen konnte. Ein grosser Abschreiber muss ich beim Frühstück machen. Erst ab 8 Uhr wird bedient. Da es kein Buffet gibt, bestellt man ab Karte. Wenn eine Reisegruppe und die übrigen Hotelgäste alle um diese Zeit das Frühstück einnehmen wollen, mutiert das Ganze zum mühseligen Wartsaal. Sehr ungeeignet, wenn man auf Reise ist und den Tag möglichst ausnützen will. Zuerst wird die Gruppe bedient und dann erst die übrigen Gäste. So mussten wir geschlagene 20 Minuten warten, bis wir endlich den Kaffee serviert erhielten. Und nochmals mindestens 10 Minuten, bis wir unsere Omelette auf dem Tisch hatten. Das Toast, welches unkoordiniert gerbracht wurde, war mittlerweile kalt. Das ganze gipfelte in einem riesigen Wirrwarr an herumeilendem, nervösen Personal, was die sonst so schöne Atmosphäre der Räumlichkeit völlig zerstörte. Aus unserer Sicht sollte sich das Management Gedanken machen, ob es nicht sinnvoller ist, ein kleines Buffet zu errichten, damit alles weniger gestresst bewerkstelligt werden kann.

Highly recommend here. Check-in was quick & informative (Loui). The room was spotless with toilitries, tea, coffee, iron, hairdryer, jacozzi bath. etc. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive, and the dining area is comfortable and cosy. We dined in the bar, and our group were happy with their choice. I had the fish and chips, and it was delicious. All staff from reception to housekeeping were friendly, professional & courteous. Some of our group did use the leasure centre & were very complimentary about it.

Die Lage der Park Place Apartments in Killarney ist wirklich sehr zentral, man erreicht fußläufig das Zentrum der kleinen Stadt. Die Ausstattung ist allerdings sehr einfach, zweckmäßig und mittlerweile in die Jahre gekommen. In unserem Apartment (Nummer 16) waren die Stühle und das Sofa im Wohnbereich schon sehr verlebt, die Matratzen in beiden Schlafzimmern durchgelegen. Der Wasserdruck beim Duschen ließ zu wünschen übrig, um warmes Wasser zu bekommen musste man rechtzeitige einen Heater einschalten. Unter einem luxuriösen Apartments haben wir uns da ehrlich etwas anderes vorgestellt....

We had dinner (7 of us....4 adults, 3 kids) in the bar last night. The manager/supervisor Evelyn (I think her name was) and our waitress Olya, could not have been any more helpful with moving tables for us, being patient taking orders and interacting with our noisy children! The service was great and food was perfect. My very picky parents absolutely loved the food...we all enjoyed! Credit where credit is due, nowadays people are very quick to criticise so high praise to the two girls and of course the chef!

Good and not so good. The location is nice outside of town. Plenty of free parking. Check in smooth with a friendly desk clerk. We were tired and had a bite to eat in the restaurant. Very nice. The food was good. Room was nice. Big tub and shower. We both took long baths after hiking 7 miles during the day. Wifi was fast and stayed constantly connected. They gave us a fan to move the air around. That was nice. The fan had a timer on it and would only stay on 2 hours at a time. Weird. The room had a single bed and a full bed. When we got in to bed we sunk into the middle. It was like sleeping in a hammock. My wife ditched me and went to the single bed. You could hear any noise from the other rooms and from the hallway. Bottom line not a good night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was good. Killarney was booked the weekend we were there and we were only able to get 1 night at the Killarney oaks hotel. Turned out to be a blessing.
