Es sollte nur ein zweitägiger Zwischenstop mit meinem Guide und meinem Fahrer auf dem Weg in die Nordprovinzen werden, doch es wurden 5 Tage daraus, weil uns der Taifun Yagi im Legend Hotel in Ba Be festgesetzt hatte. Sämtliche Straßenverbindungen waren durch Überflutung und Erdrutsche unpassierbar. Umso intensiver konnten wir die Gastlichkeit des Hotelbesitzers, Herrn Luan Hua und seiner charmanten Frau genießen. Trotz aller Schwierigkeiten blieb der Hotelbetrieb vollständig intakt, wir wurden rührend umsorgt und fühlten uns sicher. Die vielen positiven Bewertungen kann ich voll bestätigen und füge den Hinweis hinzu, dass sich die besondere Qualität eines Hauses und der Hotelleitung erst in Ausnahmesituationen zeigen. Anders als geplant blieben es unvergessliche Tage. Vielen Dank dafür - Frank W It was only supposed to be a two-day stopover with my guide and driver on the way to the northern provinces, but it turned into five days because Typhoon Yagi had stuck us in the Legend Hotel in Ba Be. All road connections were impassable due to flooding and landslides. All the more reason for us to enjoy the hospitality of the hotel owner, Mr. Luan Hua, and his charming wife. Despite all the difficulties, the hotel remained completely intact, we were very well looked after and felt safe. I can fully confirm the many positive reviews and would like to add that the special quality of a hotel and the hotel management only becomes apparent in exceptional situations. Sehr nette Familie, hilfsbereit. Sauberes gutes Hotel. Zum Frühstück gab es ein sehr gutes Egg-Sandwich und das Diner war hervorragend. Luan, der Eigentümer führte mit uns eine tolle Boots-Wandertour durch. Es war ein gelungener Aufenthalt.

We spent two nights here after 11 days riding through the Ha Giang and Cao Bang provinces. The rooms were fantastic, clean and everything we needed. The food that was prepared at the restaurant was also fantastic - more than we could eat. We had wonderful conversations with the host (i.e. he spoke English) and he set us up with a Kayak trip down the Nang River. Will definitely stay there on our return trip. Highly recommend!

i can say so bag . the owner is not friendly and the room very dirty . bag smell.the restroom is too busy ' the homeowner often shows off and makes us do things we dont want to do and increase service prices when we stay there everyone should consider before you going to there

Very lovely stay. The owners are extremly nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean(above standard of our experience) . The food is vietnamese cosine and is very good. They speak flurent English, so it is very easy to communicate. They offer some tours which i can highly recommend. Thank you for an unforgetable stay!

We stayed here on our final night of our Ha Giang loop trip. We loved our stay here the room was a great size and a big comfy bed. The shower was good and stayed hot which was very needed after hours on the bike! luan and Nsi where great host helpful with all our questions and made us feel welcomed. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ba be lake.

Legend hotel is in a great location, rooms were clean and well sized. Great hot water for showers. Beds were cozy and comfy with nice duvet. There restaurant across the street served excellent meals and the family that runs the hotel could not have been any nicer. A very pleasant stay

I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. The owner, Luan, (see rice wine, aka happy water video) is one of the nicest people I met during my 30 days motorcycling through North Vietnam. He is knowledgeable and goes out of his way to ensure you get the most out of your time in this beautiful area. Highly recommended!!!

Great Stay with Friendly Staff Liked · We had a very pleasant experience over at Ba Be Legend Hotel. Some of the prominent features of this hotel are mentioned below: 1)Good rooms. 2)Central Location(All Facilities available Nearby) 3)Friendly Staff. 4)Affordable price. Several arrangements ranging from reaching there via shuttle bus, Boat ride, Cave Visit .All arrangements were done nicely. Disliked · The arrangements were done but the prices were a little more expensive than the actual price.

We had a nice time at Ba Be Legend Hotel. Luan is a very communicative, friendly and helpful host who speaks good English. He organized arrival & departure for us and had suggestions what to do in the area. For example, he organized a boat trip to a cave and a waterfall for us (fotos attached). In Ba Be and the surrounding area, it is probably recommended to be able to drive a motorcycle, otherwise you are very tied to the hotel area (by foot you can reach small shops and do some hiking / walking) or you have to make "supervised" day trips. A tour to the lake and river costs 30-60$ / person depending on the type of activity. A lot of waterfalls / lakes etc. are quite far so you will only reach them with your own motorcycle or car, as there is no public transport in these rural areas. If you are able to drive, Luan will surely lend you one as well! Luans wife, Nhi, cooked us tastefull and extensive vegetarian dinner for around 8$ per person, even though we were partly the only guests there. The room was clean and spacious, just the couch lacked a bit of comfort. So we would recommend this accommodation for people who are mobile and on the search for outdoor activities or as a stopover on a trip through the north.

This hotel was lovely - it has a nice outlook, well maintained, clean, comfortable bed, sitting area in the rooms, a nice restaurant attached and run by a welcoming, friendly family. About 2km from Ba be lake.

Overlooking the local rice fields, this place was absolutely spotless. Comfortable beds, a lovely hot shower and a very friendly manager all made our stay at this guesthouse outstanding. Included in our package was dinner and breakfast - such a delicious meal and so much of it. You can’t go wrong booking this place for your visit to the area.

Loved this place.welcomed in Englush by the lovely Vietnamese local man who managed the hotel. Showed all facilities, offered drinks, invited to book our meals, and he then sat down and talked about the local village, lake etc. The room was spotless, comfortable and had a lovely outlook. Throughly enjoyed staying here.

We spend 2 days at Ba Be park and 2 nights at the legend hotel. The hotel is very simple, nice and clean and you feel welcome. It is a kind of family experience with mr. Hua and the full hotel staff supporting in the e2e experience organising very nice excursions to the lake, caves and the beautiful surrounding. A special thx for the food; we felt being guest of a friend very good in cooking. Super recommend if you are in the north of Vietnam.
