Baymont by Wyndham Kent/Seattle

Pillows were like half a pillow. Beds great. Service good pool good. Clean great access to freeway. Overall good stay for the price. No luxury for sure but better than most for the price. Can't control other people in bordering rooms or outside but my family and I were satisfied. Overall great stay.

First off, I can echo the sentiment of other reviewers. The hotel is near a highway AND railroad tracks. When a train passes by , you will hear it. One came by at 5:30 a.m! The hotel could benefit from soundproofing. The parking lot is small, and if someone brings a UHaul trailer, it makes it significantly harder to pass by them when finding a parking space. On the plus side, I stayed on the first floor, and it looks like the hallway and rooms were painted recently. The price of the room was reasonable, too. Breakfast item selections were slim. No eggs, bacon, or sausage to be found. No decaf coffee, either. The carpeting of the first floor hallway and my room is worn out and should be replaced. No coffemaker of any sort in hotel room. Bedsheets had stains. Bed pillows too small, and wrapped in the pillowcases in an odd way. Front panel of alarm clock missing, and alarm clock power went out, so had to re set clock and alarm in the middle of the night. I think the clock itself was malfunctioning. Temperature of shower water was still only lukewarm, after 10minutes , I wanted a hot shower. Wooden furnishings had missing drawers and the wood definitely could use reconditioning or full replacement. Sofa shouldbe reupholstered or replaced, too. Overall, this hotel could benefit from some TLC and remodeling.

Under new management, past staff friendly, helpful,now not at all, Have stayed in the past and never charged a fee for my dog , now extra $30 us. Hall floors not vacuumed.Not told the elevator was not working until we actually asked . Used to have a hot breakfast of eggs ,bacon ,sausage and waffles now only waffles ( batter was out and never refilled ) no fruit Orange juice and coffee only option.

I wouldn't stay here again. The elevator wasn't working when we got there. We had a lot of luggage and were on the 3rd floor. A guy came and flipped a breaker, and they got it to work, so we hesitantly took it to the 3rd floor. Upon checkout the next day the elevator was not working at all. So, we had to drag luggage down 3 levels of stairs. The bathtub was dirty (***** hair, eww) and the curtains in the room were dirty and tore up. They only allow one door for in and out, so if you have to park in back (Most likely) you have to walk all the way around. They don't allow you to use other doors that were used in the past. So sad to see Red Lion get so bad.

Just finished a week long hiking trip in the Cascades. Picked this motel because it 1) is close to airport for trip home 2) has a pool 3) has laundry. Well, pool is closed until further notice, and while they have a washing machine, they don't sell laundry powder and couldn't even make change at the desk. Had to make four trips to the desk because my keycard didn't work. They finally decided it was the door, not me.

I have been a guest at this location for almost a year now. Very accessible location, close to everything, rate is affordable and beds are comfortable. Hotel itself needs few improvements most especially the carpeting in the hallways, and some furniture and fixtures in each rooms. I've used the pool few times, towel rack is always empty. Coffee in the lobby is a plus but would be great if there is a continental breakfast. 5 stars rate are mainly for the hotel staff. Front desk clerks are always very accommodating & helpful and so as the housekeeping staffs. Catherine at the desk is an asset to this hotel. She's always been gracious, accommodating, and very helpful.
